ive been homeless alot, and standing around begging never sat right for me. i became a master of sniffing out work and people who needed help with something. everyone hates moving heavy shit, if you clean yourself up a bit and offer to help someone get a bookshelf or cough up some stairs they'll look at you like you're a miracle. and corner stores/gas stations/department stores will usually give you some cash if you tidy u the area and get rid of litter. landscape and yard work is easy work to drum up as well, especially old people's houses and apartment complexes. the best though was hanging by the drug spot in the ghettos and looking for muh fellow white people. they are scared as fuck to pick up the drugs themselves and you can always drop "oh i know the guys on this block, they might turn you away though". they will be quick to say they'll buy you a bag if you go cop for them while they wait wait at dunkin donuts. being nice and trustworthy looking can get you pretty far on the streets believe i or not.

We went to coastal China back in '04 because, while I was off looking at nature she was partying in the tourist/oligarch/international area and getting fucked by models. She then spent the extra cash I gave her and decided to rebook her flight for a cheaper one. Well guess what, she didn't make her second flight and spent two months being homeless, being bumped from hostel to hostel until she was suddenly faced with having to fuck real locals for money which was when she called the consulate who put her on a ferry to taiwan and then a mil flight back. She lost basically everything she came into the trip with, including a digital camera. She also had crabs and forced us to rip out all of our carpets at home.
