It's the most sparsely populated part of the country, by far. Not much to talk about besides the tourist places.

I always thought it was pretty cucked for Mexican to name their part of California "baja" instead of just keeping it California to assert claim to the north

All of Mexico, every single corner, is a cartel shithole. That's why your parents migrated to the US. So stop making threads about this fucking place.

brainlet

Also Baja California is the original California because retard Spaniards thought it was an island and name as a reference of a book that was famous at the time.

We didn't name our conquest North California, we just kept it as is. lol

"Las Californias" were divided before the war, retard.

>Alta California

I like that name, though.

It was named Alta California

fuck off chi

I'm aware of the name it had. Point is, we altered it to just be California, the pussies in Mexico were too scared to name their part so aswell.

t. Chicano

Looks like middle east. What's wrong with American urban planning?

I might buy some land there

See

Are you serious kim

The entire place was never named just "California". Baja California was named like that for a brief period of time when Spanish explores thought it was an island, but when they discovered it was actually connected to the mainland, it quickly changed to "Vieja California" and "Nueva California" (Old/New). It eventually became "The Californias" in plural, and it was finally divided into Alta and Baja.

Baja California (including both Baja California and Baja California Sur) was originally named "Baja California"
>we altered it to just be California
makes sense because there wasn't a place named "California" at all or similar anywhere in the USA before 1848 while in Mexico there was

Rather live in a soulful natural sprawl, than a hive like you insects
