Another thing is their use of the attic dialect, why would they use a dialect so far away when it is natural they would develop a dialect closer to them geographically.

As for the Olympics, it is a fact that Alexander WANTED to participate and invented his lineage (citing Heracles as his ancestor) but you cannot tell me why the Macedonians and only the Macedonians were ever made to prove their origin.
