Entered the Notre Dame Cathedral today in Brussels, I am an American on a trip, and it was so beautiful. I am a Lutheran, but prayed nonetheless, however, most of the people on the church were foreigners with a few locals in it. I read a lot about the dying number of Christians in Europe, but today I truly witnessed it for myself, it saddens me to see the source of the true culture reducing in magnitude.

Never heard of it, religion is just not a thing the average Norwegian participates in beyond confirmation and baptism. Like my girlfriend wants baptism for our children, but she has not been in church or ever mentioned religion outside of that in the 7 years we've been together.

That's a bit misleading, though. Those places tend to have fucked up histories of brutal murders taking place. The whole concept of spirits and haunted places is pretty stupid but you can at least understand the rational behind it when you take into account a lot of Americans actually believe in that silly stuff.
