How the fuck do people live off of $12 an hour?
How Do Wagecucks Do It?
They don't "live," they're just kinda there
>live
We exist
Section 8 housing and food stamps
they pay you $12 an hr?!
all slaves have a vice. consumption of alcohol is probably the most effective way for staying "happy" after a long day at work
SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU FUCKING FIRST WORLDER PRICK! I DON'T MAKE $12 A DAY IN A 8-6 JOB AND YOU WANT TO COMPLAIN ABOUT MAKING $12/HOUR???
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
>$12 an hour
Thats actually on the high side too. Where i work, we get $10 an hour and a 50 cent raise every 6 months.
It's all relative you fucking pajeet
Live with parents at 28.
>what is cost of living
Roommates and an assload of debt
Idk even a normie roastie I worked with wondered that.
I still live at home but I want at least $30,000 minimum AFTER taxes a year to even consider moving out. That's also assuming I live somewhere without an unreasonable cost of living. Where I live now, I'll need at least $40,000 AFTER taxes.
RELATIVE WILL BE WHEN I COLUMBINE THE CITY HALL!!!!!!!!
A McChicken is 1.03 dollars samwich. 6 McChickens has enough daily calories for an adult human. 1.03*6= 6.18 for food daily. 6.18*7 days a week = 43.26 dollars for food every week. 43.26*52 weeks in a year = 2249.52 for food for 1 year. Rent probably is depends on the individual. Let's say 500 bucks for a single room, and shared shower = 500*12 months in a year = 6000 to live in a place. Then we have to add other shit like car if you are lucky enough, and the maintenance on that + phone + other random shit = 12-14k a year approximately just to survive. Since the goberment takes out a good portion of monies from check b/c kikes and democrats you probably end up bringing home 500 a week working 60 hour weeks resulting in 26000 subracting the 12-14k you end up with 10-12k extra surplus yearly. Save up for 2 or 3 years and make some good investments, live very limited and you might just rise above wage cuck levels.
>doesn’t make $12 a day
>has internet
A MEAL AT MCDONALDS HERE IS COST 3-4 HOURS OF WORK!
THE MONTLY WAGE IS 260 BUCKS
I WILL FUCKING KILL SOMEONE!!!!!
INTERNET COST 1.5/8 OF MY SALARY!!!!
Where the hell do you live?
I don't get this. Say what you will abiut me but I spend like $300 a month on everything including internet and phone and food but excluding rent.
I go to work, come home, shitpost and trade crypto, eat and sleep. What part of that is so expensive??

Socialist Republic of United States of Brazil
I NEVER GO BECAUSE I CAN'T PAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DAMN LEFTISTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is it really that bad in Brazil? I thought just imported things were super expensive
$12 an hour is very easy to live on.
>How the fuck do people live off of $12 an hour?
lol bitch i live off 4
i only eat boiled eggs and banana
I just took a $43/hr job and still trying to find ways to do better. I can pick up as many extra shifts I want which I'm doing, but I'd still like to see closer to 60 or 70/hr. I clearly remember making $14/hr a few years ago and it was just awful. Even splitting rent on a 1br apartment with my bitch I had maybe 750/mo surplus after expenses. I moved in with my grandmother after my grandfather passed so despite increased gas expenses I come out ahead. Also my bitch tries a little harder since she has ghetto roommates and disability/ebt gibs barely cover her food and rent. Sex is nice, cuddles better, but she's a bitch. I am a turbo beta tho, I like surprising her with little gifts or going out to eat.
>make minimum wage 3 years ago
>get periodic raises
>minimum wage rises to meet my raise
>still make minimum wage at the same job with 3 years of experience
i have gained a lot of knowledge since i started working at this place, yet they pay me the same as someone who just started working here yesterday. what a load of bullshit
The country is cozy and have a lot of freedom compared to the U.S, but the salary SUCCCCCKKKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
I will migrate to some first world country, make some money, return to Brazil and retire
Im single with no kids and little debts and $22/hr 40-60hrs/week is literally barely enough to allow me to eat out everyday
Why not just walk to Argentina?
Do you pay $2,500 in rent or some shit you dumby?
what job do you have making $43 an hour?
not all of us are pajeets
By making the most of their means and being frugal. Ironically, they're enjoying life more than doctors and lawyers are.
what the fuck are you talking about dude. You can easily live off rice, beans, a little bit of meat, noodls and sandwich bread for less than a dollar a meal and at around 20 dollars a week ($80/month) for groceries. A well running used car can easily be procured for less than two thousand dollars ($40/month) and the cost of insuring such a vehicle would be less than 500 dollars a year ($40/month) and gasoline would cost around 40 dollars every two weeks ($80/month). The cost of renting (even in a big city) can easily be less than 900 a month including utilities like water, gas, electricity and internet. The total negative cash flow from these bills would be $1140/month. Someone working full time (40hrs/week) would make $1920/month before taxes and $1600 after taxes in a heavily taxed state such as new york or california. This person would have a positive cash flow of roughly $500 a month to invest in assets or a secondary education at a community college.
The only excuse for being poor is being dumb.
Because their life of cost compared to the wages are not worth the hassle
Agreed. I make 12/hr. Am currently rice and beans. And I drive a literal brand new car.
Poor investment, but I didn't want to invest any time keeping up with repairs on a shitbox. Leaves me plenty of free time to fuck my girlfriend, shitpost, and learn anything that piques my intrerest
Registered nurse, but it's in low income state. I have a full time job(3 shifts/wk) that is about $31/hr but I'll be dropping to part time asap now that I found a good agency. Wanting part time only for the insurance really. I'll have my bachelors degree in December. At that point we can start taking the steps towards my desired income.
there are literally zero good deals on new cars. buy some twenty year old indestructible american shitbox and take it to a mechanic/dealership once a year. You'll be set.
Cost per month (costs rounded up) if I had a job in another state I'm interested in moving to.
Rent: $700
Utilities: $75
Car insurance: $200
Renters insurance: $25
Gas: $150
Food & drink: $275
Internet, landline, and cell: $100
Entertainment: $100
That's already $1625
not when he has to pay usd prices for crypto lol
A male nurse?
Learn to work 80 hours a week and then you will have all the money you want.
he spends 100 a month on porn and vidya he's going to be poor forever
I can imagine spending a little on porn because it's nice to look at a woman's anus, but on video games? Nah, I agree with you there.
>no life insurance
not gonna make it apu
i only spend 10bucks on a cam thot doing some private cam stuff.
what does her anus look like?
brown
too late. Am already upsidedown roughly 8 grand in depreciation & coming interest owed on loans.
I plan on earning more in the future, but I believe this decision has permanently condemned my future success to middle class normie.
Am okay with this.
It's easier when you don't have any time or energy to spend any money.
>based 60yo boomer
I make 16.10 an hour and do nothing. I have the job mostly just for something to do. It's comfy.
what do you do? sounds comfy.
>How the fuck do people live off of $12 an hour?
He thunk paper better than rock.
ask for more you retard. you deserve minimum wage if you couldn't figure that out
>He thinks that non highly skilled workers still have bargaining power in a land of cheap pajeet and mexican labor

>Browsing Jow ForumsPersonalFinance because I'm bored and curious
>"Hey guys I just got a $22k loan at 2.78% APR, haven't even made my first payment. I have the cash ready to pay it all off, what should I do?"
>Top response: "I personally would just pay it all off and not worry about it"
>Next top response: "Pay off the debt. Use the monthly payments you would have been making for deposits into a investment or savings account."
TOP FUCKING KEK. Jesus Christ. Normies are absolutely financially retarded. No wonder they're poor as shit.
What is wrong with the 2nd piece of advice? Don't be a retard and say he should be making minimum payments while putting all the rest into crypto
That's an extremely low interest rate for 22k. You'd be better off investing with it. Levy yourself up and buy something that can beat 2.78% annual.
Doesn't have to be crypto, but do something with it. DC, ETF, bonds, stocks, you have plenty of ways to beat 2.78+taxes.
>or savings account
LEL
If you are a pussy just throw it into stocks @ 6% average return
You just live paycheck to paycheck eating peanut butter crackers and fucking vienna sausages. You are incapable of ever saving money, and stuck in a perpetual cycle of debt you will likely never escape. If you cannot be provided for by social security when you can't work you are fucked. pro tip social security wont be around when your old
daily, weekly, monthly, yearly???
>risk management is for losers because if my gamble flops I'll just kill myself like a real man
>American education
WHere the FUCK do you rent for $700???
You can also spend less on food and drink. Beans and rice, bro.
No one mentioned killing themselves you fucking spastic. If your gamble flops just continue to live off wagecucking retard like you'll do for the rest of life while getting your savings ass fucked by inflation bc muh risk management. I'm in it to escape this shit not afford a fucking 2 day vacation.

I make $12 a day. Kill me.
>How the fuck do people live off of $12 an hour?
it's a decent living but wagecucking kills the soul.
detroit
and not downtown detroit.
>tfw work 48h/Week for 9 dollas
Every night I pray
What's wrong with this NPC?
Christ be with you friend. Sometimes it takes a while but rest will come.
$12 per hour is actually the daily wage in my country. No joke. Be thankful with what you have.
if you can't live off $12 an hour you're unironically a normie and need to fuck off back to twitter
Thank you brother, hope you're right
I spend less than 8k EUR per year (in Ireland). Say I make 11.5k/year which is 8k after 30% taxes. That is only 22 hours of wagecucking every week at 10 EUR/hour. Pretty comfy desu.
I was in a similar spot sometime ago. Never doubt that it will happen. Fast, pray and whatever you do do but know this for sure that better days are coming and do not doubt at all.
this
When I was a kid I had a part time job delivering newspapers and was able to pay the mortgage on a 4 bedroom ranch house.
T.boomer
I don't pay rent.
other than fast food slaves, who the fuck gets paid $12 an hour?
I earn $8 a day, and I'm not even that poor.
t. Ukrainian
I made 12 bucks an hour when I was in high school and lived at home. It was easy because mom and dad paid for my food. If youre stuck at 12 bucks an hour after you move out, you're a slave.
unequivocally based
wageslave here

you don't really live as a wage slave you sort of merely exist in some abstract suffering oh nice I got the text for my note 9 preorder fuck there goes 900 dollars. see what I mean smd tbf fren
>tfw you live in a shithole in balkans and earn 2 $ an hour
this is why we smuggle drugs and immigrants to europe
Patients and attitude
This is spot on. I live basicly like this minus the car because Cali has fairly good transportation bus wise. Still 100 bucks a month though. I'm single and eat well, vegetables are very inexpensive here so save more money on food. A 20lb bag of rice is like 15 dollars and has lasted me a year or more. I save about 400 a month since they cut my hours it would be more. I use the extra money to buy limited edition shoes to flip on ebay for profit. Will start seriously investing once I save up 10 grand. Life is actually pretty good. If you're frugal it's def doable.
With a diet like that you're basically paying in lifespan
Rice, bean, and other vegetables are actually better than half of the shit most people are eating nowadays.
In my home state of PA one bedroom apartments range from 500 to 700. 2 bedrooms could go for 800. Id live there but their min wage is too low. Plus you'd have to find a place that includes utilities.
And no time to enjoy the life you can afford for yourself
Everybody makes fun of me at work. I want to quit :(
>doesn't know how to write fractions
UK wageslave here;
INCOME:
>Yearly gross wage: circa £16,000
>Monthly gross wage: circa £1333.33
>Monthly net wage or take home pay after tax, NI contributions and shitty workplace pension: circa £1177
EXPENDITURE:
>Live with girlfriend who owns inherited £170,000 home outright, so neither of us have rental obligations, risk would be if we split up but would likely move back to parental home and they also own their house outright
>My 50% share of all utilities and insurance so gas, electricity, council tax, boiler insurance, home insurance etc. comes to : £200 per month
>I own my own car outright after getting about £8000 from my share of my grandmothers estate after she passed away, but fuel costs are roughly £90 per month
>8 years no claims discount, car insurance total cost including breakdown cover and legal expenses is about £40 a month
so I get roughly £847 a month after all of my necessary expenditure - assuming I spend an average of £10 per day on all my household goods (food, toiletries, maybe the odd new t-shirt or pair of shoes as needed) which comes to a max of £310 a month I have roughly £537 a month to play with/invest which is bretty good all things considered imo.
I'd be royally fucked if I had to pay any rent or had significant debts to pay off but I'm naturally very debt averse which desu feels pretty sensible.
Assuming for arguments sake I have the exact same salary at present for all of my working life and assuming I work for, say, 50 years in total (ignoring statutory wage increases, potential periods of unemployment, changing job to earn a better wage in future, inflation etc.) =
£16000 * 50 = £800,000 over my working life.
If I'm taking out credit and having to pay off loan interest/mortgage interest then that potentially eats into a significant chunk of my lifetimes earnings, whereas if I can squirrel money away I can actually earn some interest or dividends on my wages to top that up.
>$12
I fucking wish.
your shits all retarded, euro
537 this month if you invest it at 8% annually for your 50 years period will turn into just over $25k by itself
800k is your potential principal saved, your interest returns will be many times that
for instance $500 monthly for 50 years at 8% turns into 3.5m~
