So what is your plan B if crypto fails?

I'm starting an SaaS business right now, working on programming certification + a portfolio, and I'll take a digital marketing course.

I'm unironically graduating with a degree in math & stats in a few months but no one's responding to my fucking resume / bothering to interview me so it looks like my degree is fucking useless.

data science is unironically a god tier field but you need experience to get the good positions so you need to start in the mailroom

I might be able to break into it but I have a sub 3.0 gpa so even the few emails telling me to schedule an interview are a no go since they say to fuck off if you don't meet their gpa req.

I fucked up by not accepting an interview as a data scientist at some company when I was halfway through my senior year. I fell for the 'don't work with pajeets' meme and took the glassdoor reviews too seriously.

you really can't get hired into an actual analyst/developer role in data without 3-5 years of working experience. and you generally have to know someone in the department already. over the past ~6 years I don't know of a single new hire in the departments I've been in that didn't know someone on the inside, but you make those connections when you start small in a big organization. I got my current job (over $100k at a extremely large corp) with 2 easy phone interviews because the senior leader is my old boss from a few years ago. you gotta start at the ground level, there's really no other way. you should look for analyst positions at a big corp with lots of access to data and software with requirements that fit your current resume. I've stayed in shitty jobs because it meant I got to use databases with billions of records with any software I wanted on a daily basis. it's the experience that counts.
