>best food in Europe >most beautiful language in Europe >finest art and architecture in the world >cultural heart of Europe >beautiful women >some of the finest music ever made >glorious history >kind and passionate people
Yes that's right, it's an Italy thread (pic unrelated)
Well we still do them, it's just that we had a row of bio-medical scandals in the last decade. It's not really well put here. We believe in vaccines, but we don't trust the medical labs/companies.
I really don't know a lot about italian music outside of, like you said, opera/classical, Toto Cutugno and such.
Christopher Parker
expected never heard of him I know many singers are famous in latin america and sing spanish version of their songs like Tiziano Ferro, Laura Pausini, Nek

>best food in Europe Meh. At the best a shared first place. >most beautiful language in Europe "no" >finest art and architecture in the world Not probably the best but ranks highly. >cultural heart of Europe Hasn't been for 300 years. >beautiful women Sure >some of the finest music ever made True but the Krauts beat them easily. >glorious history Sure >kind and passionate people True. Pretty much everything also applies to France, except the last part. French people are horrible.
Oliver James

>Not probably the best but ranks highly. Florence is the most beautiful city on the earth in terms of architecture. Further, you can seriously not take art from the Italians—it’s theirs. You can argue music, language, whatever, but not art. Who else even rivals?
Jack Gomez
>Italy has but they're close Dumbass.
Luis Taylor
I was more thinking about averages rather than a singular best example. But by that criteria Italy probably has the best architecture and art.
Julian Powell
>Who else even rivals? Architecturally they completely dominate the Renaissance style (Brunelleschi, Bramante, Alberti), even though the French renaissance has its own tasteful variations. However they lack any grand gothic (Flanders, northern France), moorish (Spain), Art nouveau/Secessionsstil (Mitteleuropa, Spain, France), neo-baroque (Austria, Germany, France) and neoclassical buildings. They have excellent baroque (like everywhere else in Europe) and fascist architecture though. So yeah, cities like Florence or Sienna are sumptuous because they are purely Renaissantes, but I won't say that Italian architecture is the absolute best. As for painting, I'd say the Dutch, the Spanish and the French.
Sebastian Barnes
go back to portugal
Logan Hernandez
How in the world do you put the Spanish above the Italians in terms of painting? I get having an affinity for French or Dutch painting (I do too) and trying to make a case there, but the Spanish? Seriously? You want to put Goya and El Greco up against Titian, Caravaggio, and Michelangelo? I mean, Velasquez is one of my favorite painters, but on the whole I don’t think Spain compares to the Italians
Ethan Young

>How in the world do you put the Spanish above the Italians in terms of painting? I don't. But they have extraordinary painters nonetheless.
>You want to put Goya and El Greco Velasquez and Zurbaran rather
>Velasquez is one of my favorite painters Mine too, without a doubt one of the greatests painter ever.
>but on the whole I don’t think Spain compares to the Italians Probably true, though the point is still the same, namely that Italian art isn't the absolute best.
Colton Taylor

Christopher Kelly
>omg country good/bad! why are jurobaboon simps like this?
Ian Anderson
Gothic architecture comparable to the cathedrals of Köln? Rouen? Chartres? I doubt it. As for neoclassical style, I wouldn't dare compare Piermarini or Valadier with Le Vau, Le Nôtre, Fischer von Erlach or Hardouin-Mansart.
Noah Powell
this Europoor nigga never get tired of posting bout the EU but we finna bust caps in all Europoor asses soon enough and bury them for good
