They seem a bit inconsistent. Some of them blow me up and others I can eat just fine. If you're paranoid you could pickle/sauce multiple peppers so they average out though.

well to answer your question, market jalapeños aren't very hot. if you want burning sensations you should seek out habanero or naga morichi chilis

Actually, we eat very little cheese. It's on a lot of fast food in melted form, but most Americans eat chips and candy at home. They don't snack on cheese sandwiches like Europeans do.
