because they grew up when the governments main policy was for maximum employment and controlled industry so it happend. But then liberalised the market which lead to economic growth but stagnant wages.
And then engineered a housing bubble where their houses trippled in price every 10 years because they bumped up immigration and put in negative gearing where any interest you're paying that isn't made up in rent gets given back as a tax break.
And now complain high wages are stopping business because they don't know what inflation is. And when we're about to have a recces ion because consumption is down because wages haven't kept up with inflation, they've cut penalty rates so we get 20% more on a weekend when they got double rates.

Boomers love to lecture the youth about how they should take responsabilty and adapt to the current economic situation but gets really angry when they're told that they're the ones who created that situation.
Exemple: the climate change boomer denier: he doesn't want to hear that he has his share of responsability for it (not taking responsabilty), mainly because he doesn't want to change his habits like driving his gas guzzling 4x4 (doesn't want to adapt)
