The second official language in Germany is English.
The heads of state speaks in English during her speeches.

>How useful is it in the EU?
In Spain they used to suck dick of anyone who spoke

No, German is a dying language. Learn Arabic or Spanish

Arabic is a dying language, learn Hebrew instead.

h-hot

For jobs I guess it's pretty useful given that krauts managed to buy up almost everything. For everyday life, fuck no.

This looks like bullshit. Arabic is not dying. Plus, more Israelis than Arabs know English.

Ask yourself, if any language is worth learning
And it isn't useful in any countries but the german speaking ones

Yes, but so is French

>The heads of state
>her
Steinmeier is male

It's useless. People in Europe only learn it to move to Germany and live a stable NPC life, but that's it.

>Is German worth learning?
It isn't.
>How useful is it in the EU
Only Eastern Europeans learn German
>How useful is it in America?
Useless again

Learn either Spanish or French, but Spanish would be more useful I think so.

>And it isn't useful in any countries but the [insert a language] speaking ones
I bet the only exceptions of all languages are English and Chinese

Why do many Americans dislike German while overestimate French? I saw a typical middle-class white family from Oklahoma on YouTube travelling in South Korea, and they said that German is an ugly and harsh language for most Americans.

As far as I know, at least in Europe, German seems to be in a very important position in terms of employment and economy. I have seen many Eastern Europeans (mostly Czech, Hungarian, Polish and Balts), Russians, and Kazakhs studying German. Ironically, teenagers and twenties in Germany seem to hate German and look up English.

English isn't an official language in Germany. And the only reason French is spoken more than German is because half of Africa speaks it.

Second language an American should learn is obviously Spanish. After that it doesn't really matter.

Learn portuguese (the brazilian one)

What about the Japanese language?
We have lots of animes and comics in Japanese.
Japanese is easy to learn, so let's study Japanese!

>How useful is it in the EU?
Not very, it's spoken in the DACH-region and by maybe a few Boomers in the Czech Republic.
>How useful is it in America?
I guess Spanish would help you way more.

Ami stay out

No, they all speak English decently and their grammar is counterintuitive, even after 10 years you will still make mistakes. Also they tend to loathe foreigners.

If you're an anglo, the only worthwhile languages to learn are French and Spanish, unless you're immigrating to a specific country.

They are also realistic languages to learn too, since they're not too different from English and you can find lots of resources and excuses to use them.

What about the Japanese language?
We have lots of animes and comics in Japanese.
Japanese is easy to learn, so let's study Japanese!

kawaii

do what he said

>Is German worth learning?
Only if you want to live in one of the red countries for a long time or you really like german philosophers
>How usefull is it in the eu
Less uswfull than english almost 100% of the time
>How useful is it in America?
Not at all pretty sure everybody who speaks german in the us also speaks english

>Is German worth learning?
Yes
>How useful is it in the EU?
Extremely useful, you can easily get a job here if you speak German even if you have no other qualifications.
>How useful is it in America?
Fairly useful but not as useful as Spanish.

It's easier and less complex. You should definitely learn brazilian Portuguese.

Lol no

Yes and No, German youths in Germany learn and use English because of the Anglo/American hegemony on media and “cultural” exports, it’s like the Bürger class of the 18th century which learned French to appear sophisticated and cultured (ergo. like a aristocrat)
But every German businessman has to have at least a C Level in English or they don’t go very far in a company, so learning German night be good for Polish and Czech business man, but in long term its better to learn Chinese, Russian or Arabic because they are often too stupid to learn English properly and want to screw you over (which doesn’t work if you speak their language)

Yeah but learning any of those languages will mean that you have to deal with chinks, Russians or Arabs.
If you learn German you get to speak to human beings

That’s the downside, but the upside is that you can earn a metric shit ton of money in those countries, it trickles down to preferences, same with the decision of every businessman from Europe if he wants to stay in Europe and be satisfied by the status quo or does he want to go into more risky fields in the US

who tf cares about steinmeier

People on here don't like to hear that because Jow Forums is very pro-German, some are even nazis, but German is useless as language, unless you want to live in Germany or Austria.

The trick is to never tell them you understand them.

You should speak English all over the world.

The only languages that will be used in 100 years from now will be English and Chinese.

>Chinese
