Good reasons. You can get rifle for hunting in Russia too, if you get hunter license. And there is plenty range shootings which offer you target shooting for a price with various weapons, In my city they offer you even old machine gun.

Old ones like Mauser 98 or anything similar (any caliber below 20mm, manual reload) are very easy to get.
Semi-autos are a bit harder (more time and paperwork), full autos are banned from civilian ownership
