Presumably, the police can use a sensor of some sort to detect the metallic strips in these things from a short distance. It might count as probable cause to search a car.
We have a fleet of company cars and up to 30 drivers on the road at any one time. They are making fat cash drops back at the office daily. We transport all that remote money back to our central hub via car. We operate in most of California.
Our office manager was counting the cash today and I remarked how much I like old school bill designs. The Jacksons in particular. Lo and behold, we had a old fashioned $20 bill in our cash drops and I took it in exchange for a modern one.

lmao, this conspiracy is straight out of the 90s X-Files. And no, cops can't detect those. Ever inserted a bill into a machine and gotten frustrated at how it won't accept it all the time and you have to put it in several times? Those machines work by detecting the metallic ink on the bills and they can barely do a good job at it. Cops don't need a machine to detect those bills when they just profile certain drivers and cars that are most likely to be cash carriers they can seize.
And btw yes, I also love those old bills. I happen to collect old shredded money and have been busying myself recently reassembling them. My current project is a $10 sheet of 8 bills, it's not yet complete but it's getting there. The old bills have a really deep shade of green that new bills no longer have, it's really beautiful.

Also just to make sure u retarda get it, while it is possible to detect money at close range, it’s not possible to detect it for certain if there is interference.
