Chronic sinus infection

Sinus infection/constant nose being clogged. How do I get rid of this? I'm 18 and I've had this clogged up nose for basically all the time. On and off. It's usually that I have a little cold/clogged nose, then I get sick and it gets worse, then it gets better, but it's still there.

Seriously how do I treat this? The doctor just keeps prescribing the same pills even though I mention that I've always had this problem.

There has to be a way. I can feel my face being buffy, my eyes being like tired all the time even when I'm not actually tired.

Help me biz...

Does it like remove the inflammation or something? Have you tried it? I'm researching it now and gonna add it to my list on things to try.

I had this
avoid dairy for a few days so the mucus clears up, sometimes this is all you need to do
drink water + one tablespoon of organic apple cider vinegar, 2 times a day for about 3-5 days, this can wipe out any bad germs that have made a home in your sinuses
eat spicy foods like curry to clear sinuses, or take hot baths
get lots of sleep, drink water
avoid sodas, sugars and other foods that can cause inflammation, this is advisable all the time since these things aren't good for you and you'll age faster eating them

Could have a deviated septum. Have had it for a few years now and it feels like a permanent cold. Can easily get rid of it with surgery though.

you can also try this, it's inconvenient though, have to make warm salt water and it only clears up for a while

Jow Forums - Medical Advice

but it can also dislodge any allergens or dust that have become trapped in your nose and maybe causing the inflammation

you may just have very sensitive sinus lining and do not listen to your doctors if they recommend surgery to trim them, try the natural ways first

Thanks for the advice. Will start doing these. I've also read now that blowing your nose is bad. I've been doing it all the time...

blowing your nose hard when it's totally blocked and inflamed is bad, just puts unnecessary pressure on your sinus and brain

blowing it gently when it's just partially blocked to clear it is fine

also doctors aren't as smart as they pretend
I had one say the ears, nose and throat weren't connected once...
another tried to make me buy a $20 cream for something that can be cleared just by wearing warm socks...

Brother, google “nose filters” they’re kind of a big deal. Hopefully they can help make you more comfy.

find a functional medicine doctor. besides a full blood panel including inflammation markers, complete blood count, t4/tsh etc, get your sinuses cultured and make sure that they culture for MRSA and funguses. this culture will take a month to complete because MRSA grows slowly. Get a CT scan or MRI of your skull to check if you have a cyst or abcess in your sinuses which could provide a 'safe place' for bacteria even though you take antibiotics. get an allergy test to find out if you have any enviromental or food allergies which could contribute to chronic inflamed sinuses or weakened immune system. There are other things to consider but this should be your course of action to start.
I'm sorry to say that your current doctor, like most doctors, will avoid doing anything except prescribing medication or telling you that 'this is just how things are.' You can't trust them to investigate the cause of your situation without a lot of push on your part. this is why i recommend a functional medicine doctor, they are MD's like the rest but they specialize in figuring out chronic issues like yours. also, don't delay. Chronic infections can be a sign of underlying immune dysfunction, gut dysfunction, environmental toxin exposure, allergies, other infections, and other stuff.
I know all of this because I've had a chronic sinus infection for 4 years, went to ~ 10 different doctors before I finally learned it is MRSA compounded and caused by an autoimmune disorder. This type of problem is more common than your retard primary care physician knows.

I cracked a rib trying to do a ninja roll, now it hurts to laugh at every funny post on 4ch :'(

it hurts my spine to laugh, I can feel the pressure travel up my fucking neck. Shouldn't have watched Trailer Park Boys because I forgot every episode has one scene that catches me offguard.

>funguses
yep, this is why apple cider vinegar and spicy foods are best, they have antifungal properties

maybe it starts by inhaling mold particles from fruit

Damn that's a lot of stuff. Thanks for the info. I'm gonna take this seriously now and finally treat this awful thing.

This, every morning and evening. Also nose oil, like Coldastop

could be mold or something bad in the house, a source of spores constantly fucking with your immune system

thing about your immune system is that even if you get out of that environment, it can take a few days at least for you to start feel better.

I used to live in shitty student accommodation and I had the same symptoms. Began to notice that I wasn't showing any symptoms once I was visiting my parents for long enough.

Does this not only give relief for like an hour? I have also developed a permanent stuffed nose in the past few years.

OP I had the same issues you're describing for as long as I can remember. I have severe nasal allergies.

You need to get acupuncture on the ear. There is a pressure point on the ear lobe which connects to your nasal passage. Try to find a chinese doctor that is knowledgeable in this area. You just need to get it done once every 3 months and you'll notice a massive improvement.

enjoy bro deep breathing is everything.

if you've lived in the same place for a long time, that could most likely be the cause.

you could have mold, asbestos, or worse. do a deep cleaning of your entire house and get one of those air purifier machines.

could be mold in the attic and everytime it's a windy day, it gets blown through the vents into the house!

>The doctor just keeps prescribing the same pills even though...
You must be livin in the US...

I once went to estonia and got a severe sinus infection when I arrived,

I walked into a random apothecary and bought some citrus white powder that should help, I took some of it an INSTANTLY I got cured like fucking magic dude, get some of that powder shit it literally instantly cured my headache, stuffed nose, sinus infection lmao it had to be magic like wtf, I kept some of it and got a headache sometimes after and took it again, BOOM GONE, fucking magic dude,

red hot chili peppers to sniff regularly to clear it out, eat spicy food etc

OP mega dose Vitamin C.

Does wonders for your whole system.

Can virtually guarantee you'll shift that in a few days.

I have the same. Also all my life. I get a running and clogged up nose from basically anything.

I had a doctor cut some of my mucous membrane away. It's not gone, but a lot less now.

shoulda tried the vinegar first... wish I knew about it...

You should try having pelvic floor dysfunction.

low histamine diet, low carb diet, dont be a faggot and do stupud shit like eat carbs and sugar.
Dont eat anything with flavour

preferably try an all meat diet for a few weeks, make sure the meat is FRESH, as in not aged for three weeks like ALL butchers do

then add things back in and see what caused your nose being full of shit because i guarantee its food and i guarantee is not meat

Take this (pic related).
Thank me later. This is literally life saving information.

Go vegan

you should try methylcobalomin injections, with methyfolate supps

also OP, do the functional doctor thing, while i said your diet is causing this, theres all kinds of things that could/are causing your sensitivity to foods.

In addition to my advice earlier:
Look for mold infestation in your home. Watch this documentary for more info:

Here on Jow Forums we seek perfection.

Swimming and/or moving to a coastal marine climate are the only things that will help.

Could be toxic stuff in your room like toxic cheap plastic or judt a lot of dust

Eat and live clean. If that doesn't help you can try using Cyclamen extract/Nasodren
