PNOY who attempted to try and open up friendly bilateral talks regarding China's encroachment of the West Philippine Sea yet went awry when China returned in Scarborough despite mutual agreements to withdraw in order to de-escalate tensions in the region.
PNOY filed an arbitration case against China and for years defended the Philippine position of the West Philippine Sea by invoking already established International Law (UNCLOS) with which China is also a signatory.
PNOY won the case, but he was no longer in power.
It is now up to Duterte, who at the last minute after a short field-trip in Beijing. Changed his tune and started going full-China and just like that gave up our hard-fought Arbitration victory in favor of the enemy.
Now, he continues to defend and downplay all the atrocities committed by China in the West Philippine Sea.
His Cabinet, Allies and appointees scrambled to blame the poor Filipino fishermen whom barely escaped with their lives after being sunk by a deliberate ramming of a confirmed Chinese vessel within our own Exclusive Economic Zone.
Many will ask -- why do I make this distinction clear?
This is because almost every Duterte troll, apologists and propaganda content -- blames the former President of all of Duterte's mishaps.
Now we can begin to examine the facts and draw up our political convictions in defense of our collective interests.
