What kind of thing are you interested in? History? Art? Geography?
Each state has it's own culture, I'd say for you to have a look at Bahia, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco (and the smaller states who use to be part of it) and Ceará for art, especially music and literature. For food, I'd say Bahia and Rio Grande do Sul has the most distinctive of the whole country, the former being mainly spiced seafood and the latter a Brazillian version of Argentinian asado. Cachaça is the national drink, it's a kind of rhum (actually a kind of rhum agricole), tho cachaça is older than rhum, but the name isn't as popular as it's Caribbean brother; I like it very much, I also like our national tobacco and coffe, Dona Flor is a good cigar maker. We have tropical fruits all over the year that go nicely with cachaça to make tropical drinks, we have nice beaches and an extroverted culture, you can drink anywhere and walk around without a shirt and people won't give a shit. We hug, we kiss, we tend to be open about sex and to have kind of extended families (tho things are changing), we are as prone to nepotism as everybody else and having a good family and connections is more important than capacity for success here. Laws don't really apply, you have to learn to be street smart and how to talk to people to solve problems.

I don't like paranaense culture.
A man will marry a woman, then divorce her to marry his ex-wife cousin. I've seem many paranaenses speak about stuff like that and they don't think this is a abomination.
I live in the north of SC and we've got a lot of migrants from Parana and they tend to be darker and dumber than the locals, they are also the source of most petty crimes here. Admittedly, it could be that the ones that immigrate are just the bottom of paranaense society.
