Because it's quite literally a meme. I'd estimate that over 50% of all these rumors and "news" from sweden that circulate on Jow Forums are completely made up or distorted beyond recognition from what actually happened. I've been in Sweden at least once a year my entire life, and it's pretty much completely fine. It's got some problems, like all countries do, but the posts I've seen here regularly are on the verge of satire in how hyperbole and misinformed they are.
