Yes, most Brazilians use whatsapp.
No.
It's a messaging app, nothing else.

>Yes, most Brazilians use whatsapp.
wait whaaat?
i thought that was a euro thing

no
it is for 3rd world

Everyone uses it without exception. You can even use it to contact companies.
Yes I use it
Neutral. I like their computer support

Yeah
Yeah
No, but the alternatives (Telegram, WeChat, LINE, etc.) all seem to be worse.

>You can even use it to contact companies.
you wot

we use it here too
its sort of considered a alternative to imessage

I only use telegram and if someone doesnt want to use it to talk with me then i won't talk with him

> i thought that was a euro thing

has become more popular here but people tend to use fb messenger more.

Only use it to talk in porn groups

BBM is dead, we're whatsapp now

wtf BBM

Yes, a lot of people use it, but most of millenials, zoomers and 30yo boomers use Facebook messenger
Yes, I use it to get in touch and share photos with my parents and sister
It’s fine I guess

Many companies use WhatsApp for customer support. Not to mention that I have contact with my employer and my boss through WhatsApp as well.

It's a 3rd World thing
I use it to speak with russian girls

used to be very popular a few years ago, now it's kind of a boomer thing from what I've noticed
I only use Messenger because everyone's on Facebook, no reason to bother with something external

Yes to the degree whatsapp traffic is for free even on mobile.
Sometimes.
No.

It's a global thing like skype and facebook.

>Do not use a godlike telegram

Most still use WhatsApp, I dunno why, telegram is a dozen times comfier, even Viber is comfier

>now it's kind of a boomer thing from what I've noticed

Boomers love whatsapp here, it's fascinating.

A few months ago my uncle was like:
>wow this sapsap is one of the most amazing technologies i've ever seen! you can message, call and send videos to your entire family by simply touching the screen

based

Im not sure of how many people use it but I have it, i use it to talk to my American friend so I don't get fucked on my phone bill.

it's available to those that can't afford sms but it's also more sophisticated than sms
bit of a paradox

No, I've never seen or heard if anyone using it, ever

it completely replaced SMS here in Germany. I heard Americans use iMessage, which does the exact same thing as WhatsApp but is limited to Apple devices, so non-Apple users are left out, which is shit.

Here Facebook is a boomer thing

>so non-Apple users are left out
That's the idea.

I'm from the U.S. and most people have no clue what WhatsApp even is. But I use it all the time here in India, and when I'm at home, too.

It's just a messaging app, but I do find the service helpful. I travel abroad often, so it's great to have an app that relies solely on data to send messages, making calls and share information. That way I can still use wifi to contact friends and family--in the U.S. or India or wherever--even without a local SIM.

funny, nobody uses facebook anymore here. instead everyone uses whatsapp now, from zoomers to boomers

In western-Europe in 2009 it was normal for people to have a phone plan with like 300 calls/texts and 500mb data for €15 or so. Infinite texts cost you like €10 extra.
Around that time WhatsApp came around and it cost you like 10mb per month to use, effectively saving you €10 for unlimited text.

This was when my entire highschool within a week or so switched to WhatsApp. It was pretty revolutionary.
Of course nowadays phone plans have gotten very cheap but that is mainly due to WhatsApp

No, people use self-compiled APKs of the Signal app here in order to protect their privacy

Facebook messsenger's only purpose is talking to girls you met somewhere and added on Facebook until they give you their number and you can switch to WhatsApp

It's weird to hear people use Facebook messenger for communication. It is exclusively used for social media here in particular for aunts and uncles who share stuff about paedophiles and refugees

how do group chats in whatsapp work?
don't you need the phone number?

yeah you do
dont click it

>Do people in your country use the app Whatsapp?
Yes, unfortunately.
>Do you use it?
I try not to but grades and direct communication with University classmates is the only thing holding me to it.
>Do you like it?
I despise it with all my heart and soul.

I use threema. Don't want to give all my data to Facebook.

Big black minge

Nope, very rarely used here. I remember my German friend using it and instead of just texting he spoke in voice messages. Fucking autistic.

I thought 3rd worlders have apps such as Line, Vibe and Telegram
Not to mention brown people book (Facebook)
