nimiq is just a useless shitcoin, one of the many dime a dozen shitcoins that pop up on bitcointalk on a daily basis. theres no reason anyone would use it over established digital currencies. it doesnt have smart contracts like other coins. its worthless.

The core proposition of Nimiq is that it's extremely easy to use for people and extremely easy to implement for web developers.
I'm a web dev and I tried to build and integrate a Litecoin tipper plugin on a community forum running on vbulletin back in 2014, I basically gave up after 2 weeks because either I made something easy to use but with a shitton of vulnerabilities or overly complicated.
I tinkered a bit with Nimiq recently and it's so much easier, I'm not surprised there are already a dozen of apps using it, I'm waiting for the VueJS port and the new keyguard before really going in though.
