I began with 50 bucks on april, as I began winning I deposited another 5k. Currently I have 200k on bitmex balance.

I just follow the market, never try to predict bottoms and tops. If the market is going up I long, if it's going down I short. Right now I have no position (market is on stalemate), but yesterday I began a long at 6620 with 2 BTC at 50x and closed at 6720.

The amount I usually risk is between 5-10% of my net-worth, I admit it's a bit high but I have strong risk-management and plan on lowering it over time.

200k? unless you're living in a literal shithole country that's way too early. i quit my job after i cashed out 200k and still had 600k on bitfinex. you can lose that 200k so quick it's shocking if you think about it. every dollar you have on an exchange can be gone the other day. if you haven't cashed out enough to live comfortably for a few years atleast, keep your job

How do you set up stop losses with 50x leverage and how much do you lose when it hits the stop loss? Also if it hits the stop loss do you have to still pay the fee which is quite a lot if using high leverage no?

I began on april. At the time people were talking about sky-high shorts so I decided to learn more about margin trading and got in.


I usually set stop-loss above my break even point, and keep moving it depending weather I'm winning. I don't like having open positions during the time I sleep to I usually close it with profit and almost never hit the stop. Also, stop-loss uses the taker-fee which is really high on 50-100x, it can really hurt your profits even if you close above your entry point.

not that I know, but you can check bitmex discords for more info

I can live very frugally with 2.5k month and I also employ risk management. I'm very optimistic because I'm literally on a 3 week run without losing a single day.

how do you know if the price is going up? do you not read the order books, tape read etc?
could you please explain your exact risk management strategy? do you use the kelly criterion, or do you always have an exact risk amount you put up?
