Nodes offer a lot of computation because they aren't forced into specific rules other then no double spending.
Also has the ability for apps to be hosted from any device including phones so that app devs don't need to pay for hosting. The community does it.

If the community isn't hosting enough for the app to run smoothly then the devs pay other nodes with HOT to pick up the slack. Also because each node is unique and can hold data you don't need an oracle, the app can just reference that node that holds the data. Also if a node has qualifications like having security certs or certs to handle payments they can list that so that app devs don't break any laws about data or financial security if they care about that.
