I own my own company. I started in high school. I have two employees now. I work 200 hours a month but it makes over 100k a year after paying them. I used to work 240 a month. I would have a higher nw but theres some loans and mortgages in pursuit of the vaunted PASSIVE INCOME that havent materialized enough.
Current passive is 500 a month. Turning more of my worth into passive is the goal. I no longer pursue net worth. Every hour less I work a month is an achievement.

I still feel so poor though since the only reason it's that high is I lived at home (and hotels during the week)

Also in Washington DC/NYC this is a poverty tier net worth

Yearly payout money for sexual harassment I presume.

it could be worse, statistically not many people make over 100k a year regardless of what they do. I do it anywhere and from home.
Not gonna answer that.
turns out a boss generally wants to see x hours on an hour sheet and pay you hourly. If you consider 'being present somewhere you don't want to be, unable to eat or drink or watch tv freely, wearing a suit, with limited bathroom breaks" to be hard work, and most people do, almost no job will pay you well for not a lot of hard work except one you invent yourself.

nice moves user. what made you take out that risk at the time? any advice for a january buying faggot such as myself?

this isn't larp territory btw. Having an 80k net worth and working 8 hours per month to survive is a dream gig in terms of life direction but its not some huge luxury. I know people in that situation, so its not that unbelievable.

This is why I'm unironically trying out the ATM plan with local clubs that have newly opened, drew up contracts.

Its why I'm looking at parking lot ordinances downtown near the university.

Its why I'm actually doing the vending machine thing.

8 hours a month is the dream. As it is I'm projected to be down to 180 a month by 2019. :/

im 23 with an economics degree and I work in mortgage accounting. will one of you guys hire me?

By "making it" you mean making big millions. Being affluent is pretty ez-mode.

I'm an agent. I connect people that then do projects together and pay me a cut. You could pull this off in any area: real estate, consulting or IT projects, commodities...
And as said, it is truly lovely because I have more freedom than I ever hoped to have. I jet across the world multiple times a year to ski, visit family, go on holiday and I live on a lovely island in the southern hemisphere. It's a 9/10 life.
But it's far from the universally accepted /madeit/ level on this broad. Guess that's why I'm here

Attached: 1531105359682.jpg (600x600, 25K)

By making it I was talking about financial independence so 1-2MM

I would have already reached this goal was it not for absurdly high taxes. I really wish I was born in Switzerland...

Scandinavia is only good for being a neet

There’s no roulette strategy with a positive expected return (unlike poker). It’s just pure gambling, not something you can make money from in the long run.

I was poor, but the feds had just given me $5000 that I could mostly get by without since I was working part time. Also I was already $50,000 in debt so figured another $5,000 wasn't to big a risk. I'm just HODLing personally since I can afford it now, and I actually still believe ETH has a real future, but might not be tell 2020 that we hit a new ATH again. I guess HODL strong user!

As a wagecuck that spends 80%+ of their money, sure.

i think most is real to be honest and you just have a shitty situation

>35
>430K

plan to hit 1.5 mill in 10 years and 2.5 mill in 15 based on reinvested income and the fact that i'm currently making and saving a grip more than when I was paying off student loans and renting instead of now owning a home (home equity ftw)

You are pretty clueless about the bubble you are living in. How many people do you think can save more than even $20k/year after taxes and absolute bare minimum living expenses? almost nobody. Maybe top 10% in the US and top 0.5-1% in the rest of the developed world.

>a shitty situation
I have 600k NW and am 25 years old. I will need extremely good returns, over 8% real return (most likely will not happen) to grow that to 1MM by 30

So my situation is better than 99% of people my age and I will still have a very hard time trying to get to 1MM by 30...
both of you are delusional

What are you on about larp then?

I'm not saying anyone is larping but my point was that it is extremely hard to get to 1mil by 30

Worked at fast food place. lived at home saved every pay cheack for 14 months. find out about crypto. ALLIN.jpg.

Everybody earns a 6 digits income here. Nice larp

to the retard who says $1M by 30 is easy, nice bait you faggot. no one is saving $100,000 the moment they graduate college dipshits. even in a historical bull market, no one is saving even close to the amount that would get there. maybe you live at your parents house and jew them out of rent so you can drive a used corolla to shop at the outlet malls faggot

>living rent free
>driving a used corolla
>buying clothes from outlet stores

this is exactly what you should do, faggot. I bet you''re the type to take a lease out on an iphone

exactly this

no you autistic dipshit. there is a happy medium between being 1) a loser parasite that leeches off your parents so you can save every last penny while they lament the piece of shit in their basement and 2) an impulsive money pit who has no self control

You don’t need to save 100k straight out of college. Saving 1500 a month will get you to 1MM in 20 years assuming 9% nominal return. In other words, most people with decent jobs should be able to make it to 1MM by 40 (if they prioritize saving). If you have have a good 6-figure job it’s not that hard to save enough to make it to 1MM by 30. That being said, for a lot of people saving that much isn’t optimal (in terms of maximizing happiness).

ok then please break down the income by year after graduation that would net $1M by age 30. then list out the occupations that pay those amounts with the related years of experience. Go on, I'll keep waiting...

Exactly, and that person in the middle should defiantly have more than 1M by 30

fucking delusional lmao
it is almost 100% impossible to have 1M by 30 starting from 0 if you are wagekeking

watch me, fag

Trading

LITERALLY didn't make a penny until I quit high school for a lack of interest, but manage to get a welfare check every month after quiting. Spent the tiny, tiny amount I got by simply going out once a month (I could basically afford 2 beers and a dinner once a month).
I have a great family though that let me stay home past 20 and I felt that normal fucking minimum wage jobs are so god damn boring it would only make things worse.

But, I started trading in autumn of 2016 (thanks to a friend that peaked my interest and teached me some things) with only $350 that I saved up and I'm now moving towards 40k net worth.
If I could go back I would probably have picked a shitty job for just a few months. Because starting with such a tiny amount was pure hell, it took ages to actually make decent money if safety was a high priority.. which it was.
If only I knew about trading when I was younger.. it's crazy how useless school really is for people that want to go outside the box.

come back to reality retard

in order for someone to get 1mm by 30 (nominal) the person would have to start at 20 and save 5200 every single month assuming an average annual return of 9% (which will not happen the next decade)

in other words, impossible

100%
Mindset all the way, I have no problem being delusional all the way to the top

I make 27k a year with an Ivy League STEM degree. I'm a teacher. I'm also only 23.

BUT
I have 170k in the bank made through crypto last year. I outright own a 3-bed 2-bath house that cost about 300k. And I have 100k in retirement bonds. So 570k networth total at 23. Almost all the money was made by buying crypto in 2016.

or more likely starting at 22, the person needs to save 7200/month

Did you read my comment? I said most people can do it in 20 years (i.e. 40-45 yo) by saving 1.5k/month. Of course most people can’t become a millionaire by 30, but if you’re making 100k+/year it’s doable. You can make 100k+ starting in STEM, finance, law etc.
