Why not? It seems to be the best currency there is that's compatible with Ethereum, it just needs more exposure. Vitalik is actually pretty pissed that people started speculating on ETH and using it as a currency, since he intended it to be gas and a high price of ETH also means higher transaction prices. Imagine if Vitalik were to endorse 0xBTC as a currency on his network to ease the load on ETH itself. The fomo would be unreal, and the chance of that happening is definitely nonzero.
