can't find motivation for anything, spent my teens and twenties tinkering away on computer programs, thought that once i had success with software, the social aspects of life would be easy. but people act entirely differently than i expect and i end up either hating or being indifferent pretty much toward everyone i interact with.
i have no idea what i genuinely want, only know that i'm missing something.
traveled a lot, hit on girls, but the moment i feel like i could lay them i lose all interest and just can't get myself to interact with them anymore. just pretty damn sure it's not what i want.
look for some chi kung groups you can join. do it for 1 year 1 or 2 times a week. You are intelligent, so your brain will fool you that you dont need it and you understand it after 3 weeks or 3 months. But you won't. It's a journey inside your body.

my primary issue rn is that i can't even work anymore. i could be making even much more money if i could just get myself to fix up some shit, like a day worth's of work, and i just can't get it done. i feel like i'm entirely burnt out. can't work but can't rest either. can't even exercise properly / it's a suffering. nothing moves me.

That's what happens. That's why rich people work to become more rich. Nobody retires at 30 y/o.
As for the social aspects of life, now that you're rich you should only hang with people of similar status. Or be as humble as possible. Poorer people will have an inferior complex. Congratulations you are now privileged person.
As for women, that's how it is for some. The chase is so much more fulfilling than the prize itself. Just hafta keep finding one worth keeping.

You should try playing music : piano guitare, something that motivates you. Also music on computer ? Go on hike take a van, your full stuff and loose yourself in the mountain, take some great photos, put yourself in danger. Now that you're in the 0.1% richest person in the world it's time to become the 0.1% best skilled person in the world (in a field you enjoy). Real friends will follow

Oh also I don't think there's some being completely satisfied forever formula. Nice people will make you bitter, angry and sad... but if you're lucky you may find a couple that are a slightly less unsufferable. If your expectations from people are really low, at some point it's really hard to be more disappointed.

My man you gotta read "The subtle art of not giving a fuck". I was like you, completely indifferent to everything. Seems counter intuitive but this book helped me a lot.

Would have hoped you had plans on what to do before becoming financially independently, financially independently. Ive been in since 2011 and have seen lots of people retire off crypto. >move to another country, enroll in language school, start a business, meet someone, get married >party in LA getting wrapped up in drugs before burning out years later and marrying a bottle service girl and becoming spiritual >start a crypto related business or site, travel to crypto cons >enroll in college to get a degree and id imagine impress roasties with your immense wealth

Guess I can drop my own blog here:
I started trading at 25yo(28 yo now). No millionaire and I don't even care to become one, I managed to secure a moderate living with it.
I trade as a hobby, because it's the only thing that kept me away from suicide after a huge depression, I seriously am tired of life.
When I got unemployed I said fuck it, and never looked back, since I wasn't afraid of losing I kept gambling on each trade until I figured out a pattern to day trade two particular stocks that now make me earn a lot.
The thing that got me depressed beyond relief is the social aspect, just like you OP, I came to realize that it doesn't matter how much money, I make, how successful I am at what I do I will always be socially inept.
Now I only wish of being employed as a professional trader(it's actually easier than on your own) but I have no idea how to do so as an amateur, or any social connection for it.

i'm not actually indifferent though, i know what i want to work on (money was never my goal) since i was a kid, and my 'goal' never changed. it's just a 'concious goal' and for whatever reason i don't seem to genuinely want it. can't work on it. but my end goal is satisfying myself so my brain will let me work on what i actually want. i don't see the point in living a life of nihilism, or whatever. i want something that makes me feel motivated and lets me work on what i 'conciously want'.
Charles Howard
I kinda felt going into a existentialist slump like yours this year, due to my crypto investiments going to shit, my increasingly shittier social life and a bleaker and cynical look on life.
But recently I've read the following link which kind of improved my overall look on things (really, read it all): markmanson.net/the-one-rule-for-life
And do the following, start each day (e.g. after waking up) by thinking about five things you're grateful about in your life (bonus if you have a gratitude journal). You'll see that things are not that bad :)
Also, do you have any tips for a SW developer in order to start a business?
Charles Walker
Look into Buddhism user. Once you realize that your identity was completely formed by society you realize there's no point in making developing your image (wealth, status, accomplishments). Focus instead on having a good experience, hobbies where you get lost in the moment, being mindful of your health, and helping others have a good experience as well. That's what I like about Jow Forums, you don't have an identity here or anything to work towards so theres no pressure.

If you are a self-made millionaire at 32, what are you complaining about? You've made it. This is all that there is to life. Life doesn't have a higher purpose than escaping wage cuck slavery and having all your needs met. And having the funds to enjoy some wants as well.
I am one-third a Canadian millionaire thanks to wage cucking while living at home + crypto investing. I am not where I need to be to escape wage cuck slavery for life. Unless I have a short life. Once I become a multi-millionaire, I am just going to live the NEET lifestyle and enjoy a quiet life. Bitches ain't shit. They are just a warm wet moist hole that you dump a load in. Friends ain't shit. They just want to use you for their own benefit. Hell even my family ain't shit.

>traveled a lot, hit on girls, but the moment i feel like i could lay them i lose all interest and just can't get myself to interact with them anymore.
Also you sound full of shit sorry user. You traveled to hit on the girls, and then lost interest? Sounds like cope. You THINK you had a chance of not being rejected, and rather than finding out if you were right, you’d rather “lose interest” to protect your ego.
“Hitting” on girls is different than “fucking” a lot of girls.
I’m not saying girls are the end all be all. But I feel like you’re glossing over something important here.
You’ve done extremely well in an area of life that over 99% of the world wants. You should be proud of yourself.
Maybe the problem is that you have this inflated ego that you’re great (which sense as you became rich), but you don’t want to venture into new territory if you feel you won’t be as great (aka women).
You’re actually in a good place because you’re young. But I wouldn’t beat yourself up so much. Take some time to learn and “figure yourself” out. Somewhere in there, you’ll find the new challenges in the road ahead, and forge meaning from that.
Jonathan King

>Also you sound full of shit sorry user. You traveled to hit on the girls, and then lost interest? Sounds like cope. You THINK you had a chance of not being rejected, and rather than finding out if you were right, you’d rather “lose interest” to protect your ego. Exactly. If you use your wealth to get girls, you are nothing more than a glorified john. If you want to get pussy for real, you need to be Chad or you need to gain status. This white rapper is not a Chad in the traditional sense but he has so much status that he has thots throwing themselves at him at his shows. And he turns them down because he fell for the monogamy meme youtube.com/watch?v=mDIqaGjdE-4
John Long
As someone who isn't fully rich (I have a fair amount of LIQUID wealth, which is more than can be said for a lot of wage cucks) but doing pretty well for myself, I fantasise about being a white rapper Chad all the time. Because my money ain't shit. I have fucked some pretty hot sluts (escorts). Some really hot fucking tanned white girl clubbing sluts. The type of girls in high school and college that I longed for from the side lines. And I still feel depressed afterwards. Because I know that her heart is reserved for Chad.

>wat do. Keep challenging yourself. Shit, if you're an actual multimillionaire you can easily take nine months off and circumnavigate the world alone in a sail boat (+3 months intensive prep). A used seaworthy 41 footer would be like 100k, or a new one for 350k. Not much interaction with people unless you plan it that way.
maybe start studying something, either by yourself or at university. something you always wanted to know better, chemistry..physics, then cure cancer or figure out how gravity works.
or just try to sozialicem in the beginning it will be awkward and frustrating but with time youll know your ways. also force yourself to go outside and walk, some oxygen in brain really helps, even if you really dont feel like it, gotta ask urself if you are stronger or your part that wants to stay inactive.

I shitpost still but that's only because I can't think of anything better to do. I am bored af. I took up crypto trading in order to keep busy and make money. But boredom is still a bitch.

Last night I was fucking excited when I saw the new weekly episode of Better Call Saul up on ThePirateBay. I get on dat VPN and torrent that shit. Then 44 minutes later, it's over. And then you're left saying to yourself, "what now? Everything I haven't watched on Netflix already is shit. I lost interest in video games. I lost interest in anime. I can't be trading crypto 16/7. What now?"
Don't get me wrong, wage cucking is fucking misery. I bitch about my boredom but you don't see me going out shooting resumes to Mr. Shekelstein do you? lmao.
I've come to the conclusion that life is suffering. Unless you are rich. And even then, rich people get bored and need to find hobbies to stimulate themselves. That's why rich people continue to work after 30. But the difference is that for a rich person, a job is a hobby for them. Something to stimulate their mind. For a wage cuck, a job is a necessity. They are forced to work jobs that they hate in order to buy shit they need.

>I'm 31 and have almost nothing in the bank. >But I can say OP you missed out on some good times. Balance is needed in life. High time preference is bad if you have nothing left in the bank account and are now poor. Deferral of gratification is no good if you never get to enjoy your wealth. Or if you have an early death. I am praying for an early death so that I don't have to work no more. That's probably the best thing. I'm already 33. What do I need to live to 80 for? I never slayed without having to pay for it. The hottest girl who let me hump her without having to pay for it left me for Chad. I'm not going to get married to a roastie and be her slave and be a slave to the bankers getting a mortgage to buy a home for our family.

The human brain is designed to never be truly satisfied with the status quo, unless you're either an anomaly or able to control your emotions very efficiently.
The only thing to do is either A: Distract yourself, be it drugs, food, women, religion or whatever you find numbing Or B: Set a goal and pursue it.
That's how our brains work. We're machines with a certain code, written to pursue certain actions to assure our reproduction.
Truth is, we're all slowly decaying and the second we pull our heads above the stressful confined ratrace that is get an eduction, job and work like hell, we realise how hopeless, scary, lonely and confusing our world really is.

>assure our reproduction. Yeah that's the thing, after I became red pilled and eventually black pilled, I realized that getting married and having kids is a scam. If a man has no desire to reproduce, he has no purpose in life. The suicidal ideation makes sense because if you're not going to reproduce, your genes are going to die with you anyways. I don't want to be some beta cuck provider for some roastie and be a slave to my employer and be a slave to the bankers (mortgage). Death is preferable to slavery in my mind. 95-99% of first worlders were born as slaves. And probably 99+% of humanity (if you include the third world) period lives in slavery.

schools suck. i come from a country with 'free' education, which gives college teachers an insane amount of power. it would be millions times more efficient if every 18 year old just got the funds and could do whatever they wanted with it. fine, the state should tell them what they can't, e.g. not spend it on drugs, but if someone wants to found a small company, make a band, try him/herself as a writer by taking 2 years off, they should be able to do that instead of forcing everyone to go to college. 'free' tuition means that everyone who doesn't go to college pays the tuition of those who do, if in no other way then by receiving less benefits than they would if the state didn't fund tuitions. it's a horrible system and only really beneficial for college teachers

You are trying to fill a hole with money. Should probably use some of that money for a therapist to find out the real issue then come up with a solution for that. Alternatively: en.wikisource.org/wiki/Moral_letters_to_Lucilius Welcome to reality, user. Nothing will ever be enough, even if you avoid unreasonable expectations. Your soul is programmed to be dissatisfied. The best you can do is plan your life in a way that gives you steady, small moments of conscious satisfaction throughout the day, every day.
Joseph Murphy
Happiness is an emotion, which, as every other emotion, has it's triggers, purpose, and duration. What triggers happiness is the fulfilment of goals/wishes that are of high importance to a person. It comes as a reward and it's addictive because its purpose is to create a note in your mind and make you want to do more things that lead to that nice feeling and live a purposeful life (or you can just take drugs and have it instantly). But it fades away because you can't stagnate in life, there is no such thing that will make you happy forever because that would mean your life is over and you have no more quests to fulfill so you can just die. You can't be high on one big sniff forever. Don't expect to be happy if the circumstances you brought yourself into do not match your true wishes, no matter how good they may seem objectively. But if you think surreal gains will make you happy for life, you are wrong. Your brain needs to move on and you will always want more or something different. That's perfectly fine because otherwise, life would be easy and boring
this amount of insight really was unexpected and i did get a lot closer to know what my real issue is. didn't really think posting this on Jow Forums would actually be beneficial lol. like, why would i even post this on Jow Forums. this board really is for something much more than just "the discussion of topics related to business, economics, finan..." there is something here you just can't find anywhere else on the internet.
thank you a lot guys. i am gonna keep this thread in mind and eventually going to take a look at all the videos posted / books recommended ITT.
Hi, user, again One of the bitter lessons in life is no matter your external circumstances, your internals will remain mostly the same. Your pleasure response is from dopmaine, and it quickly wears off. Modern society is designed to wreck you. What makes you "happy" quickly fades away. What do? 1st dont kys. This is fixable. 2nd if you really think you are unmotivated, stop doing activities that aggravate it. Marijuana is really bad for it (sad!) 3rd you need to start doing things different. Stop looking for reward and fulfuliment in outcomes. Seek it in your actions. But how you feel in the process does not have to be correlated to the outcome. Does that make sense? Money can hurt or help you. It is hurting you right now because your existing mental problems are not stable. It is adding fuel to the fire. Dont quit, be grateful for your money, but view this as the ultimate sign that even after $ sex and travel you will still be unfulfilled - unless you deal with your internal world.
Jason Fisher
I guess I'll add in too. I'm the same age as you, although I spent my 20's adventuring and training in athletics. It sounds like you just lack social experience, like you have spent too much time, too many decades, alone in front of a computer without friends and experiences and meaningful life stuff. Your world is empty if all you have in it is a computer. You have a fantastic position to start your adult life in though, having that much money means you can live life on your own terms, you can buy whatever you need and above all, you don't have to waste time doing stupid shit like working a wagie job.
You need people. Find people, make sure people are physically around you, and things will get better. You will discover things about yourself that you didn't know just by being around other people. Whatever you do, don't stay in isolated computer world.
Maybe you're LARPing, but I'll give you a serious response. I was in a similar situation, chasing the almighty dollar and building a fortune is a fulltime job - once you arrive you're ignorant about many things. How do you find meaning in a harsh world? I recommend finding a life coach, it's a shortcut. They specialize in helping bored rich people find themselves. The long way is finding your path. You busted your ass to make that money, why did you do it? For real? Was it really to live an easy life? There are easier ways to get your dick wet, and coast without problems. I'm assuming from your post that you care about being somebody, you're bragging on an anonymous image board about your achievements. Why is it important to you that we're impressed? Follow that thought.
Justin Reyes
>I'm assuming from your post that you care about being somebody, you're bragging on an anonymous image board about your achievements. Why is it important to you that we're impressed? Follow that thought.
could be, but i don't think it's recognition i'm looknig for, and def. don't think it's the reason i pointed the part that i made money out. i think it's a pretty crucial part of my issue and also big part of what makes it relate to this board. i made lotsa money and completely blocked down. omitting the 1st part would make my situation pretty damn different.
