dUber will fail, which is why it's slowly creeping into mainstream media. Why? Because there's no central authority to deal with random situations that require customer support.

dUber will only pick up when self driving cars are properly implemented. At which point, buying a car and releasing it into "the fleet" will be a source of passive income, like an investment property.
It's a shame Tesla is going to hyper-manufacture self driving cars for this fleet so that buying a car will only give minimal returns.

What's stopping dUber from having an HQ where they still take part of the profits but not nearly as much as Uber? And put customer support on the block chain too where people online do most support and HQ makes the decisions.

this ain't a bad idea for a micro industry. a home cooking app that connects say, an enterprising Lebanese family with a foodie type in a big city. App connects people willing to prepare and deliver authentic home cooked exotic food to consumers. same rep system, agreed costs with an online store front showing local options.
