Nature thread

Post photos from your cunt that you have taken this summer.

This is a phot from a mountain lake/tarn in Värmland, Sweden. Caught a few perch but they don't get big in the tarn.

Comfy thread
This is from a trip with my mother near her home in Osa

this is the view from my back porch

It's illegal to fish there but i saw a few mountain goats and stuff.

Shit, why’d it do that

Norway is very beautiful. For non-Scandis it can be interesting to know that Norway got mountains in the south, middle and north whereas we Swedes only have mountains in the far north.

We got mountains from the middle to the north though.

view from my bedroom. as a child I played in the woods constantly, building forts from branches and sheets, and plinking with my pellet gun. wonderful memories.

I was out on a mire to pick cloudberries the other day. Early in the morning the spiderwebs were very visible.

Attached: IMG_20190719_061942.jpg (4096x2304, 3.86M)

Yes you're right but the point I tried to make was that we don't have mountains in the same way like the Norwegians.

looks really nice

I'm going to guess.. Indiana? I assume its corn growing on the field? Is it destined to end up as high fructose corn syrup?

I thought it was very interesting to have a gander at the spiderwebs. The cloudberries weren't ripe so I ended up going around just looking at them instead.

Attached: IMG_20190719_062014.jpg (4096x2304, 3.66M)

correct! nice guess. yeah, it's corn. the majority of corn grown is used as livestock feed, ethanol production, and various manufactured goods. little is actually consumed by humans.

that's an awesome picture, user. sounds like a good time.

The mountains aren’t that tall though, and the ones in Sweden aren’t that far behind, if I’m not mistaken.
This small road takes one from the Osa fjord to the Hardangervidda tundra higher up by way of stone steps. I didn’t take more pictures of the trip unfortunately

A little fun fact, that you probably are aware of, is that one of the old Star Wars movies (the one where they are on a snow planet) is actually recorded on Hardangervidda in Finse. I can recommend the train trip between Oslo and Bergen. One of the most beautiful train trips in the world.

interesting

That’s cool. I’ve taken that train probably a hundred times and I never knew that

Where in Russia is this from? I recently saw a Norwegian program on Swedish TV about three Norwegians who took a boat in the steps of vikings in Russia. They began in St Petersburg and travelled north. The law said that one of the passengers needed to speak Russian. Everyone was helpful and happy to show the Norwegians hospitality and Russian food. I think the Norwegians passed a fortification right after St. Peter that Swedes had built FYI. Maybe this photo is from that particular river?

Planet Hoth is partially filmed in Finse.

pretty spot

If you're interested here's the show where the Norwegians take a motorboat in Russia in the steps of vikings. A lot of Russian is spoken so you'll understand. Probably need to set a VPN to Sweden if you want to watch.

If you're interested in mor movie related "fun facts" in Norway then here's another one...

The film "The Vikings" starring Kirk Douglas is partially filmed in Norway in Mauranger on the west coast. You can actually see a big motorboat in the background in one of the scenes.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Vikings_(film)

If you ever plan to visit the west coast of Norway I can recommend Baroniet in Rosendal and to take a trip to Odda and visit Trolltungan - a big mountain cliff that looks like the tongue of a troll. On the glacier Folgefonna it is possible to ski all year around.

not mine but i post it

I had wanted to visit the Atlas mountains but I do not like to be beheaded for being a kafir.

Interesting stuff, I had no idea. Thanks for posting

Yeah, thanks for info, but it's a tiny river almost in city center of Nizhny Novgorod.

thats in marocco
in algeria ,in the green mountains in the north is plenty full of terrorist
the army is still doing raids on terrorist hideouts
so its pretty dangerous
if you feel bold
pick up a hunting knife and a double barrel

How would a Swedish tourist travelling by himself be treated in Russia generally do you think? I don't speak Russia and I have unfortunatelly become gluten intolerant recently because I got a nasty parasite (Giardia) when I was in Himalaya. Would Russians understand if I said something "Allergia gluten" or something like that?

In case you're interested there's another show on Swedish TV where a Swede and a Russian woman who lives in Sweden travel around in Russia.

svtplay.se/video/21713478/keyyo-med-rheborg-i-ryssland/keyyo-med-rheborg-i-ryssland-sasong-1-jag-ar-som-en-stalker-som-far-resa-med-min-forebild

Another show that's being broadcasted on our TV is when the Finn Ville Haapasalo travelsa around in Altai. I guess he's quite famous in Russia for that Russian comedy movie from the early 90's?

This was taken near a campground in the pineywoods, outside Houston

Attached: IMG_20190428_072725340_HDR.jpg (1288x966, 492K)

Wow, Houston Texas look like that? Fun fact: If you mix the resin from pines with ashes from birch you get a super strong glue.

>Wow, Houston Texas look like that? Fun fact: If you mix the resin from pines with ashes from birch you get a super strong glue.

Not really, Houston is flat, swampy, and paved with concrete. That photo was taken about an hour drive north of Houston. If you drive an hour south you get swamps, and it gives you a lot of opportunities to see wildlife like alligators and red velvet ants at Brazos Bend SP

really nice

"The fortress was founded by Erik Axelsson Tott in 1475 under the name Sankt Olofsborg in an effort to profit from the political turmoil following Ivan III's conquest of the Novgorod Republic. It was sited in Savonia so as to lay claim to the Russian side of the border established by the Treaty of Nöteborg.
Olavinlinna has three towers remaining.

One of Tott's letters from 1477 includes a passing mention of foreign builders invited to Olofsborg, probably from Reval, where the city fortifications were being extended. It was the first Swedish castle provided with a set of thickset circular towers that could withstand cannon fire. It is not by accident that a network of lakes and waterways forms the setting for the castle, for these would seriously impede a prospective Russian offensive."

Atlas Mountains have always been interesting to me.

Paraty - Rio de Janeiro state

Very nice
Interesting. It’s location was chosen well. I’ll have to add that the fortress carries a very based name

I love perfectly still lakes and ponds

in winter
the mountains are beautiful
i never been here in winter

I doubt you can find many birches in texas however, but I think I saw Ray Mears do something like that.

If you're still here what is the weather like so far inland? It must be pretty volatile

I find it fascinating how relatively warm Scandinavia is. To think you're on the same latitude as Greenland

wow, nice

dang, that's pretty cool. never seen a bison in person before.

it's hot as fuck. heat index has been 105+ the last few days and then today we had torrential downpours. think sometime this week it's going to drop into the 70s. it's all over the place, but that's not necessarily out of the ordinary, living near the great lakes makes for strange weather.

>I doubt you can find many birches in texas however, but I think I saw Ray Mears do something like that.

It's actually from him I got it from when he did that cup of birch bark. Everything with Ray Mears is excellent to watch.

Thx

Go to bed, Sweden!

Where is this?

im gonna guess Wyoming or Montana

Go to bed, Norway!

Nope, shot from the side of the road lol.

First is from the middle of nowhere in Wyoming, second is Mount Rainier. I went on a road trip.

Attached: IMG_20170625_172444.jpg (4048x3036, 2.93M)

I recall watching an episode of his in Sweden that was pretty cool. I think he cooked some char over the coals. It was the first time I heard about your "right to roam laws"

Both look like very beautiful states
But I can’t sleep:(
Thanks

yea I'm Texan but Wyoming and Montrana are my 2 favorite states (Alaska too)

Shut off that computer right now and sleep!

>Nope, shot from the side of the road lol.
ah, I was gonna say, DAYYUUMM. nice views still. need to make a trip up that way.

Yes yes
Just moment I need to check out some more things

The blue light from the computer screen is making you an insomniac! Shut it off right now before I come over there and put you to sleep myself!

What is the Scandinavian obsession with sheds?
Nice shed btw tbqh I could see myself living in it

here's some more of Indiana. it's not all flat farmland. the south is covered in hills and to the north it's covered in lakes.

Just one last view, this is looking east from the shed. This is a part of the town of Ulvik, my other home. Very comfy. OK OK I’m laying down in my bed now

Indiana and Ohio get a bad rap for being bland or ugly
They both have really great places

Very based and comfortpilled. I love small towns, grew up in one myself. Big city life is a travesty

Shit it did the thing again
I cropped it a bit

Attached: EA439482-5647-4CC6-880F-BF57ADF4680A.jpg (1890x2048, 720K)

I agree, goes for any state with a bad rep really. All areas have parks and a unique landscape.

cozy/10

Small towns are the antidote to the poison of civilization
Now I’m going to sleep. Good night

Not here and I'm jealous as fuck

Hey! You're supposed to be sleeping right now!

Fuck you, my parents are in spain. I can do whatever I want.

I'm your parents while they're away, and I said go to bed!

Your flag says Sweden. Nice try.
