It's silver because it has 2.5 minute block time isntead of 10 minutes which make it more abundant, just like silver is more abundant than gold, so it's supposed to be priced accordingly and be easier to transact because the denominations are supposed to be 1/4 of bitcoin's, just like real physical silver and if you can't argue with that because that would be arguing with the free market which is always right.
