I have plenty of friends and family in big business. Whenever I talk of crypto with them, they all mention ZEC.
What's the deal with it? I don't understand what's so great about it. The big boys have no problem putting money into, mining it and so on.

I have to admit I'm confused about it.I understood why it pumped after the mining shit. But it's like a privacy coin that seems to have decent support by people who don't seem to be into crypto for mainly privacy reasons. I don't love the funding but I can live with it I guess.

It was a couple weeks ago when I was told of this because I was asking how the business was going with the crash.
They didn't give a fuck about the crash. It's been welcomed by those that have enough money to keep buying more.
They won't tell me why but I've been told what to buy and hold.

Not sure desu. I guess it's the only NY approved privacy coin and maybe because they approved it's just a matter of time before cb adds it. Maybe nasdaq will add it in 2019 when they start trading shitcoins
Private transactions are the only real world use case for cryptocurrencies I can currently see. Monero has the largest market share but Zcash has the better tech in terms of zero tracebility.

ZEC has seen a surprising amount of big money and institutional recognition. It is confusing because ZEC doesn't have a massive online or community presence, but for some reason even legit NY state regulated exchanges like Gemini have added it alongside just BTC and ETH. One of the Winklevoss twins is quoted saying “Bitcoin and Zcash are two revolutionary technologies vying for different mantles, Bitcoin being digital gold and Zcash being digital cash.” This is big fucking talk from someone so influential in US institutional crypto.
ZEC will definitely beat the market average in the next 3 years since it will see unusually high levels of adoption.

Also in case it wasn't obvious, I firmly believe ZCash will be added to Coinbase sometime in the next few months. There's just too much acceptance of ZEC among institutional types for it to be passed up on in favor of something like BAT or ZRX.

I know it's not too late to get in on this. They could easily buy every coin availible with the supply but they don't want to trigger a bull run and be responsible for it.

What is an example of such an exchange? But agreed that ZEC is a whale's coin of choice and there is likely massive accumulation going on behind the scenes.
zec is legitimately the closest thing to "the next bitcoin". Monero will be for private transactions, zcash will be for enterprises. The first zcash halving is in 2 years, you should buy 21 zec and sit on it.
