had the exact same situation. had like 60k in loans to pay back. interest rate was around 8 or 9%. so for years all i could afford was to pay the minumum monthly payment. i checked one day, and i kid you not, my balance was actually going UP. like after 2 years of minimum payments every month, i owed like 62k instead of 60k. lmao. this shit should be illegal. like why even bother paying? just fucking default on them.

The interest is so low I just invest now. It's still expensive though. It's only for decently intelligent people who work hard.

banks profiting off student loans is wrong, the government should provide the loans interest free like most civilized societies. In Australia the government covers 75% of the cost of university, and the remaining 25% is paid back interest free once you earn over a certain threshold.

In the education system its: Big business offers high-interest loans to pay for school, Schools hike up their prices, Students have to take out bigger loans.

There are a couple of positions for art historians. Especially if you are engaged and interested.
What's the problem with this degree? You have a good time, a few years in university, no worries, you have nice experiences.

Not true desu. Obviously it's not easy and you can't do it on minimum wage, but I've been working since I was 16 and am doing well enough. Diligent work gets rewarded at any decent company and it's not impossible to get promoted above base level/get raises without degrees.

I'm 22 rn and could definitely buy a house in the suburbs if I wanted to and this is one of the richest towns in one of the richest states. Where most people my age fuck up is working part time and spending what little they make on weed, booze, and women. Especially true if they're living rent free with their parents. Having no rent is like getting a 1k/mo raise.
