Smart Contracts are a type of digital agreement that automatically executes whenever certain pre-determined conditions are met, this allows to make cheaper, more secure and reliable digital agreements without needing to trust a third party The problem is that Smart Contracts cannot communicate with off-chain data (interest rates, FIAT values, the time, et cetera) This makes something as revolutionary as Smart Contracts limited to exchanging ERC-20 tokens mostly, and certain Dapps like cryptokitties (on-chain data; example: X amount of ETH = Y amount of ERC-20 tokens/kitties) To make more appealing Smart Contracts you need something called an "oracle" that is basically a middle man that connects off-chain data to the smart contract, this person has a certain power since they can change the data to their favor (we're back to trusting a middle man, which is not the point) ChainLink aims to become the leader Oracle service by creating a trust-less, decentralized oracle network, where you don't need to trust an oracle but rather the protocol of the network (think about it like Uber, you don't trust the driver, the driver dosen't trust you, but you both win by using the app, that is trust-less in nature)
This would allow financial institutions to save BILLIONS (Sources: Capgemini and WEF) and that would be just the first implementation of the network
They're working with Accord and OpenLaw so it works with the current legal framework and they've worked with SWIFT so they're compatible with legacy systems (ISO 20022)
>I recommend you read the whitepaper and the god protocol by Nick Szabo if you're interested in what I've said
Why are we bleeeeeeeding? Is this the final shakeout? September is supposed to be our month? This shit is ruining my life
Joseph Gomez
I think it's because LINK kept on rising when other shitcoins kept on bleeding. Some people who saw it as their saving grace in this bear market sold when LINK gains stalled and other coins bounced (NANO, VET, ICX, etc). Then it's a race to the bottom till only previous hardcore bagholders are the only ones left. Idk. It sucks but mainnet soon hopefully
Sebastian Cox
It only sucks if you're selling and you're only selling if you're a faggot, so it only sucks for faggots. QED.

Bump. Nice job user
Luke Bell
You should be buying now btw

WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER
DO NOT UNDER ESTIMATE THE POWER OF POSITIVE THOUGHT! ESPECIALLY COLLECTIVE POSITIVE THOUGHT!!
THIS SHIT IS GOING TO REACH $1,000 EASILY! HOLD THAT THOUGHT AND VISUALIZE IT IN YOUR MIND EVERYDAY AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE STARTING NOW AND IT WILL MANIFEST INTO REALITY. DO IT! I'M NOT JOKING!
VISUALIZE AS OFTEN AND AS DETAILED AS POSSIBLE!

Anthony Long
don't worry friends, sell now, buy back more later. shake out the week hands.
Wyatt Lewis
Attention marines, DO NOT SELL! NOBODY is here to help you, don't sell at bottom like says HE JUST WANTS YOUR BAG
Ethan Lewis
Keep speculating and hyping this shit up lol.
By the time actual news rolls in, it'll already be priced in. And speculation that doesn't come true will only crash the price.
But go ahead, keep connecting those dots you retards.
Ethan Morgan
you just want to sell at this high exit point don't you?
the truth is, at this point there's nothing keeping the price of link up. it out performed the market last month without any announcements or progress, and gravity is about to kick in.
Who cares about short term dumps? We are in this for the long haul
Noah Mitchell
Nice

Maybe it's just me but the OP is too cluttered. I suggest making a single pastebin with a clear summary (like 1. essential infos like the whitepaper, a description of the project, a simple buying guide for newfags explaining the steps to buy btc from coinbase then transfering to binance, 2.: 2a. partners confirmed; 2b. partners speculated; 3. social networks to follow 3.a link social network 3.b. partners social network, 4. competitors, 5. shill & fud pasta, a download link with a collection of meme pictures and infographics, etc) and adding all the social network links in it, put all the twitter accounts in a single line or in the pastebin as well. It would be a lot clear if the OP for these threads was just pastebin link with all the basis infos that will rarely change + links to recent important threads and discussion topics that will be updated with every new thread.
I have a big folder with a lot of collected infos, all the collective research, breadcrumbs, etc. I wonder if it should be shared or not? Centralizing all our data in a well-organized and easily digestible manner could be a double-edged sword. This could very easily end up on reddit's undeserving hands, whereas now only the most dedicated of autists use the archive to collect all this shit.
This is the second time I've posted this summarized shit. I'll keep on refining it so it'd be more presentable. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll try to incorporate them for the next time. And yes, this would be appreciated I don't think anyone would bother sharing that to plebbit anyway. No one copypastes shit from biz to there. Only announcements and the like, AFAIK
Lincoln Hughes
Post it here or the things that are important or missing from OPs post
Eli Campbell
I wonder what it will be like 5 years from now.. looking back at the beginning of something so beautiful we couldn't actually wrap our heads around. This will be the awakening of a new era.
LINK!

Hey biz; going to meet with my dad today, told him I have like 6k link, but he doesn't believe in in the project. Well he is fine with me putting my money that I earned into it. But he wouldn't touch crypto, how do I convince him? He is a boomer that has 90% of everything in conservative investments
Jose Scott
Hey you did post it :) Godspeed user
Justin Garcia
Chainlink is silly.
Christopher Peterson
Show him the price of Apple stock. Tell him to think of it as being able to buy Apple shares at a point in time where Jobs & Wozniak are just finishing off the very first Apple 1 prototype.
Jaxon Hall
what kind of out of touch hillbilly thinks the market responds organically? this is the dumbest shit i've read all night!
Aaron Perry
Of course the market responds organically.
Good unexpected news = price boost.
And the better and the more unexpected, the bigger the boost.
Parker Evans
Are you guys some sort of a collective retard club or something?
You should be shilling link after the pump has actually happened morons, otherwise you'll end up without news to make your shitcoin go up.
Thomas Hall
Checked Double trips confirms

Market Protocol? Never heard of them. Sounds like ANOTHER exchange, in a space that is full of exchanges with no volume. I had a lot of hope for STINK, but it's been a full year since the pre-sale and they have only just begun to partner with others, but these people are all exclusively no-name small potatoes. Looks like it's all over, Linkies.
