To reduce pollution in a serious manner we will have to get rid of our way of life. Little things like solar panels or smaller engines in cars don't help much. We need so much fuel for our food, shipping containers, energy, production.
The idea that we can combat pollution and not have to get rid of 80% of the things you own is impossible in my point of view.
