I went to a zoo once and they fed guinea pigs to a snake. It was on a school trip and one of the kids was a big guinea pig fan. It was funny to watch him suffer.

God these fuckers are cute, I've had two in my lifetime, they both lived to 5, and then died from cancer and the other sickness. They really should be in a pack though, so they tend to get lonely. If you only have one make sure to play with it all the time, or keep it's cage in a central part of the house that's usually busy.

Depends on the sounds they associate with food. Mine never did it with the fridge, but whenever bags were moved, because they thought that they were gonna get parsley.

probably taste good. good prepper food unironically. similar to rabbits in that regard, you can feed them even with what little greenery you can find inbetween rubble in bombed cities and they reproduce fast. rabbits were popular pets in wartime and early postwar germany for that reason. chickens would be better but you dont usually keep chickens in your city apartment.
