I have about 12k LINK. I'm thinking of buying around 30k more. But should I? Maybe I should buy some 0xbtc. The good thing about LINK is that (imo) it is correlated to the success of the whole crypto space - it doesn't matter which coin(s) "wins" mass adoption first, LINK may be useful to it if it manages to work. On the other hand 0xbtc's main feature is PoW, which gives it great potential upside but at the same time very specific risks - if POW doesn't "win", 0xbtc doesn't either. Then there's the issue of market cap: 0xbtc's market cap is ridiculously small...very tempting.
Maybe I should diversify...but then again, it's such a small amount of money I'm not sure that's a good idea.

It truly is a first of its kind project and it wouldn't hurt to grab some at these low prices. 0xBTC sidesteps all of the drawbacks of PoW - it isn't an endless energy hog, mining could completely stop and the token could still be transacted on the Ethereum network as well as ever.

Honestly, there's very little info out there about any coin to determine whether it is a scam or not. The "geekyness" of a PoW ERC20 coin makes me doubt it is a scam. If you're gonna develop a scam, your best bet is to aim at normies who don't understand anything (see: bitconnect). Now, I agree 0xbtc could go to zero (like any other), but i wouldn't necessarily think it's developed/designed as a scam. The result may suck, but that's not the same as it being a scam.
I see your point, but at this point in my life I'd rather lose the investment for a shot at 1000x than make a safe bet (S&P500 ETF) for double digit yearly returns (in the best case scenario). I don't have enough money yet for it to matter if I lose it all.
