DJT is a Japanese language 勉強スレ for 人々 interested in the language, anime, manga, visual novels, light novels and Japanese video games. Japanese speakers learning English are welcome, too.
I've overflown a year ago. I had a 4 hours commute and could study for at least two of those. Then i had to move and didn't study much for a couple of weeks and hadn't as much time afterwards. I seized to add new cards. Then tried again for awhile only to have a worse overflow. Somehow a month past and still i didn't catch up. and then another. and another... できない Post this just for the thread not to die with two replies.
Anyone tried playing japanese exercises while going to sleep? I did it with the Genki exercises today, and there is a beep sound every time they want you to think about a solution. When I fell asleep, I dreamed that I was speaking with someone on a phone, but every few seconds, their speech was replaced with a beep noise. I said "Sorry, I can't understand you, please stop cursing or disable your censoring filter" Then I woke up with a headache

What you need to do is limit your Anki to an amount you can actually manage in your daily life, not do way too much and then abandon everything after a few weeks.
Or just don't use Anki if it's not working for you.
I listen to Japanese audiobooks when going to sleep. Textbook exercises are excruciatingly dull.
>thread died so early yesterday and no new threads I think our Polish friend got banned again :( Nice collection >Israel flag >that learn / relearn spike 42w ago You could try marking some of those eternal relearn cards as new, and only go to them once you finished managing your anki backlog.
"including services to be an alternative to the judgement and punishment in terms of prevention and treatment" but basically what you said seems right, as I'm not so good at English..
sometime it's arbitrary applied, but >rubber shoes more precisely it'd be something like キュキュキュキュ so maybe the author used it as a common expression in comics when dragging a person, so what you said might be more plausible. Sorry.

Anki is poison. I haven't done any real practice in over a month but doing my daily reps makes me content. I feel the grammar slipping from my mind each day. Everything I want to read/watch has an English translation so it's really tempting to just not slog through it in Japanese.
It's filled to the brim with puns and jokes that make extensive use of the Japanese language (not to mention all the pop-culture references). Watching it with the subs and the TL notes included therein I quickly came to think that there must be an absolute shitton of things I'm missing out on by not understanding the language. And so two weeks after finishing it I took to reading the DJT guide and got started.
That was a good five or so years ago.
This among others yes. Joshiraku should be obligatory watching for anyone in DJT.
>That was a good five or so years ago. So how are you doing today?
Henry Perez
God, I wish there were more TL notes in anime these days. Glad to see they are returning in a few official simulsubs, even if 90% of the time they explain something I already know.
nobody knows what you're saying, hence why nobody is replying

There's more than two Americans in this thread buddy. There's nothing wrong with my Japanese in the last post you quoted (or if there is, point it out)
You should make actual interesting posts or let the thread die instead of bumping it with nonsense no one cards about.
Liam Sanchez
I wasn't implying they were all the same person you insecure cunt
Parker Reyes
If people could only make interesting posts this thread would not even exist
I was replying to a Canadian that deleted his post with broken Japanese, by the way. It has nothing to do with you

Trying to get back into the swing of things. Listening to audiobooks, reading Tae Kim, and trying to get myself psyched up to get caught back up on Anki. I really want to not suck at this and I wish I would have known about the DJT threads years ago or else I wouldn't be in my late 20s not being able to read manga.
Christian James
>in my late 20s not being able to read manga. What do you mean?
I'm saying if I had started earlier, I'd probably be where I'm at now age-wise and actually be able to read Japanese rather than slowly trying to piece together what sentences mean using KanjiTomo and still not getting it because I don't know grammar very well.
Wyatt Morgan
I got it. thanks. わかりました。ありがとうございました。 You will be able to read them within a couple of, or several years though..
