For loads of them this isn't actually true and you get some of these towns that are full of people from rural azad kashmir who usually live in shitty ghettos. The differences between people from cities like Lahore and Karachi and people from villages is very pronounced, even after several generations although this is also due to where abouts in Britain people moved to not just the specific part of Pakistan that they came from.
not everyone can be successful, but on average they're socially mobile both in the US and UK.
