trubbish was kino, garbodor would've been better if not for the 'ears' they gave him, still used him. i don't mind objects, if pokemon were just monsters it'd be all boring and lame designs like tyranitar, ie rip offs of good gen1 monster group/giovanni pokemon like rhydon, nidos, and kangaskhan. trubbish is a good counterpart to koffing amd muk. i don't think all pokemon should be 'cool' or 'appealing'. what irks me about throh and sawk are the gis, otherwise they'd be 8/10 in my eye. since they're in foresty areas, they could've made it so their gis are scavenged from bugs or some shit, especially since the sewaddle has clothes as an ongoing theme. I still like throh, love judo, and the way his sprite moves is great, it really communicates that he's seizing the enemy for an opening so he could grab and throw their asses into next week. i agree that they don't live up to the standard that hitmonlee sets though

yes, but gen 5 had amongst the best designs

volcarona, hydreigon, scolipede, chandelure, cryogonal, jellicent were very good
