A brilliant proof of concept but making it scale sounds too fuckin hard. I'd rather have something built to scale from the ground up.

Ethereum is the AOL of the blockchain. They figured out the basic idea but didn't know how to make it work for the masses. First mover advantage is just as often a curse as it is a blessing.
