>イスラエルにいる間に It sounds like >before leaving Israel, (because you may miss some beneficial opportunities) In order to make it sound literally “while you are”, like イスラエルにいる間に、一度本物のフムスを食べてみて下さい (because you can’t taste it outside here). >イスラエルにいる間は or >イスラエルにいる時には

In order to make it literally sound like “while you are in”, you should say like >>イスラエルにいる間は >or >>イスラエルにいる時には
I meant your English explanation with "the world", I also don't see why 押し can't be used, I've already seen it used like 長押し in games for holding down a key, no matter how you look at it 押し is a key press.
Thomas Edwards
一つ is used for objects. 一回 is used for more abstract stuff like actions.
Ian Richardson
I figured that out a second before you posted it, your explanation only let me tidy up my thoughts.
What do when there are words you just can't remember the reading of? For example, I learn most of them just fine, but I always forget these after a few minutes or days:
せい.じ 政治 - politics
けい.ざい 経済 - economics
じ.てん.しゃ 自転車 - bicycle
と.しょ.かん 図書館 - library
ゆう.びん.きょく 郵便局 - post office
Jack Kelly
Use the language instead of funnelling all the words through Anki thinking that will make them stick or even that they need to stick through there.
You don't care, I also had problems with 経済 for the longest time but now I remember all of these fairly easily. Learning more and more and spotting similarities and patterns is the way to go. 済 has the same radical as 剤 which is used a ton in all sorts of substance stuff and they have the same reading. 経 has the same right radical as 軽 so they have the same reading, this is true for hundreds of different kanji but the only way to learn this is to just know more words so they all support eachother. 政 is 正 and it's only used in politics from what I've seen, 治 is じ in most words I've seen, 自転車 is piss easy even if you don't know any words, 図書館 also clicks fairly easily since 館 is used for tons of buildings and you have 書 in the middle from 書く, 図 clicks a bit later once you learn stuff like 意図, 合図 also helps even though it's a different spelling but it reinforces that kanji in your brain. 郵便局 is a matter of just remembering that it's about mail, 局 is insanely common, 便 is always びん or べん, 郵 is far rarer but it's always in mail kind of words.
