Don't buy eth. There are at least 2 years before scaling and 4 before full PoS. Developers are beyond incompetent

2020/2021 - PoS for separate sharding chains with unclear design + PoW on the current main chain
2022 - full PoS with sharding

These delays are absurd. I don't see any realistic ethereum replacement (no, not eos). It's likely that public blockchains have failed, and all adoption will happen on permissioned blockchains run by corporations and government. That means hyperledger fabric and corda, not your favorite shitcoin.

Holy shit. An user who actually gets it. There's hope yet.

Doesn't this make right now the perfect time to accumulate ETH for cheap then? Surely the price will skyrocket when scaling and PoS is established in 2-4 years?

sharting is coming very soon, I've seen it at the mart

blackpill: 99.99% of the people involved in crypto don't understand crypto. while sharding and PoS are essential steps, their absence is not a showstopper with the existence of many scaling solutions as it is (signatures, sidechains, state channels). what sharding and PoS are: digestible buzzwords for people with no technical or economic knowledge who can repeat these magic words and sound like they have technical or economic knowledge, letting other fools look up to them as experts, repeat the same words, and so on in a vicious loop of ignorance rolling down the hill

That's only true if adoption doesn't move to permissioned blockchains.
Probably even if that happens eth will go back to $1000 eventually, but that could take 6 years. Stock market tier returns.

The real manipulation is in eth.
JP Morgan executive confirmed they are building their chain on ethereum.
That would be the xrp's wet dream.
OMG moons when they take picture in Google reception desk.
Vechain when they order big Mac.
But somehow eth and JP Morgan ain't big news

The problem with sidechains is that they aren't that valuable to the main chain. If they use eth as a main currency that's great (games on loom). Non-currency uses pay only minuscule fees.
Eth with sharding means 10B tx/day, each paying $0.01. That's $36.5B going to validators in fees annually. It means >$10k/eth just because of staking income.

If sharding comes too late demand for it won't exist.

POS will come earlier. I agree with you on sharding..

Public blockchain being a failure or not, something has to support the new waves of ICOs imminent when the next bull run happens. Choose a platform, eth neo qtum icx eos vet. My bet is on vechain

>stock market goes 3x in 6 years

hm

Plasma and pow/pos hybrid will come this year. Full POS in 2020. They also recently downgraded eth block rewards from 2 to 3.

Recent podcast with vitalik and vlad the main pos dev

I'm 50% eth, 25% eos, and 25% between iota/cardano/nano

That's old info. They scrapped hybrid PoS.

If you bought after the bottom in 2008 and didn't 10x in stocks at least in the last 10 years you must be retarded.

Bye bye ETH,BTC,XRP.....Holochain will replace all this stupid scams

And the only way to "invest" in private blockchains is through the cube

I didn’t see this, thanks. What a shitshow haha, eth is dead. Cue EthCash

Why do you think EOS is pumping despite its own myriad problems? ETH is a fucking disgrace.

Even though eth and eos are shit, they are still miles ahead of anything else.

Also guys, what do you think about Zilliqa? Network and transcation sharding is the way to go in the meantime? I know they'll have bottleneck problem to deal with but i think they'll be alright in the next 2 years until ETH move to full state sharded blockchain.

>just beat the market bro its easy everyones doing it
