if you search for metal cover videos on youtube for some reason 90% of the times its going to be from latin america, specially brazil and chile for some reason
aside from metal i think we like rock a lot but most old people are into spanish/mexican/argie bands and pop rock from the 60's to the 90's in english, like people will isten to stuff like dire stairs or the beatles but not really to shit like prog rock

I'm not a fan of rock myself, but to be honest the only music that's been getting out of Latin America this last decade is reggaeton, which comes almost exclusively from Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Colombia.
