If youre a beginner docs are too much info too quickly to be useful. Once you have a solid foundation docs are good for looking up specific info

They used to email my CS and Engineering professors with there clearly homework/project questions. They also seem to learn more like rote learning. Anything beyond a basic problem they get stuck on it's like how to apply the formulas/algorithms to the real world is missing.

the basics are fun but it turns to shit when you've got to get windows to be the appropriate size

you've then got the basics of it down but a mysterious problem arises and you spend a week hunting for the cause of it and by the end of the week you feel like shit and you don't like programming anymore

I just use the pdf or webpage (non video tutorials).
