Being a teacher nowadays is suicide. One of my relatives admitted to a "Looney bin" because of that. Children nowadays are too cuddled. Remember the boomer days? If you did shit at school you got punished. Sometimes the teacher even hit your fingers. Nowadays if you pull that shit up you get fucking fired and put on a sex offender list.

The future is grim KEK. Nowadays children are raised in a very safe and cuddling environment. I can see it from my sister who im trying to sometimes teach not to cuddle too much children. She told me a story of parents aggressively forcing teachers to put better grades or reporting them to the principal for bad work. Its literally a meme nowadays for children. They will be raised in a way that if they dont get what they want, the adults get punished. Expect this to get worse. We are living in a SJW society. If you say anything bad or negative you are cucked.

The irony here though is that when those children become adults and start facing the shit we have to face they will automatically give up or start blaming others. Thats your problem. You are not following the norm which is set by your colleagues. You can thank them! You have to be a bitch in the system or you will be an outcast. Thats why teaching is such a meme.

What can you do? Written above or just change your fucking speciality man. Dont kill yourself over children. They are already fucked anyways and its not their fault. Its their parents fault. Start looking up community colleges or go work on something dangerous, gather up enough money (high pay) and then get a degree on something solo and high pay (programmer?). Then you dont have to deal with some useless bullshit every day which is like office relationships etc.

I have no advice on how to better your situation but you should be focusing all your energy on getting out of teaching. Make a living another way. My father is close to retirement and I've watched this profession destroy his soul over the years.

I have an Ivy League STEM degree and had a GPA of 3.2 and several financial certs. I am teaching abroad too.
The truth is I failed to network in college 2 years ago and now that it's over it feels like there isn't much hope of gettimg better.

I don't have a teaching degree. I studied math. Even I'm terrified of a history degree though unless you explicitly want to go to law school.

Something like this unironically happened this decade at my school. If I say anymore I'll be revealing too much about where I live.

Tried that for 6 months but basically nobody responded. Even spoke with recruiters and was told nobody is hiring in financial data analyst and actuarial fields (I have actuary tests too) so try again later. I have about 160k in the bank and Bitcoin (was 300k in January but yeah). I took one programming class in college and I'm good at learning analytical things quickly (seriously). I'm also still shelling out $1000 every few months to take more actuarial and financial tests gor some reason as well.

What do I do next?

This is unrelated but once I signed on to become a teacher here, and consequently bought my ticket to Asia, I suddenly got offered a job at this obscure Property Management firm and my flight wasn't going to leave for 6 weeks so I acceoted the job and got paid for the conpany's mandatory 2 weeks of training. This was during the big crypto bull run of December 2017 and I already knew I'd be leaving so I took the time to brag to my coworkers about my crypto gains (at the time I had made more than 2.5x my salary with them in the course of a week thanks to ELIX) and did I wanted, got paid to basically get trained and do nothing, and didn't give a fuck. These people had the balls to verbally dangle my salary over my head like bait when I didn't volunteer for some mandatory overtime work, assuming as a college graduate I was poor and would just take it, and when it didn't work they called me in the next day and fired me.

Nevet felt better than that. Collected my last paycheck for doing nothing but get trained that they begrudgingly gave me and happily left.

Your mistake was probably mixing stronger and weaker students with no regard for their motivation. It's one thing to be weak, and another to not give a shit, and these people were probably the source of frustration. You should've let the students pick their teams and then made adjustments, putting everyone who didn't give a fuck into dedicated absentee teams.

I had free seating in my class for months and the same coworkers and boss nag me nonstop to force them into a seating chart and "put the smart kids next to a weak kid so each one helps them." I finally cave in and do what they said and this is the result. What the fuck they told me to do it like this.

It's not about 'setting aside differences', it's about not handicapping smart kids and those who want to improve by putting deliquents and slackers in their team. The end goal is to teach those who want to learn, the rest should be filtered out.

They're either doing the minimum required effort and covering for themselves or are delusional about the results of what they do. If education in whatever country you're in is any similar to Poland, then it's a shitshow all the way through controlled by aggressive and retarded parents, and teachers are the ones having to bear the most of it.

You have a specific schedule and certain things that need to be taught to these children.

Your not going to create savants or special students that had hidden abilities.

My dad was a teacher. It's a very good field to be in if you're talented and actually want to be a teacher. If you're not both of those things then what the fuck are you doing? Nobody wants some asshole who doesn't want to be there teaching them.
