Any recommended stops? How will a CHI like myself be treated? Will they make fun of my Spanish like the Ethpañoles do?

Santiago is the hottest place and it's not hotter than that. Maybe highs of 32C(89F) one or two days a week. The south is mostly 21-24C at most with maaybe 28C some days

Stay in Providencia, there are some tourist traps that you can visit. Avoid going to the city center: plaza de armas, estación central, etc (It's a shithole full of FLAITES (chilean niggers) and immigrants
I've only visited a few cities in the south, so I can't give you many tips
