When shaving your beard do you move the razor in which direction? Top to bottom or vice versa?
Who the fuck shaves up?
Bottom to top (opposite direction of the hairs) if you want a very close shave, otherwise the opposite
Here is a hack:
Put it on your face and move it horizontally to the right and to the left. It will remove the hair extremly fast.
Depends how clean of a shave I want.
Towards the grain, but I just trim.
That’s how you get ingrown hairs and cystic acne
Just pull your skin and shave if you want a closer shave
I'm asian so not much facial hair, I have to shave once a month because it'll look like ballsack pubes otherwise, botton to top.
This
top to bottom till jaw
bottom to top below that
Both
first pass in the direction of the hair, second pass against it
My face from top to down and my chin/neck from bottom to up
it gets the hairs better
against the grain
>yes I shave sideways, how did you know?
First with the direction of hair growth. Second against the direction.
I don't use a razor, I shave once every 2 or 3 months with my hair trimmer
Against the grain every 2 days. I look like shit with stubble so I go for the closest possible shave.
Also merkur 42C represent
I don't shave bitch
based rasputin
swerve, peasant
Just kidding, I never tried the merkur
this
I have pretty delicate skin that gets razor burned easily. Would a straight razor fit me better?
I have one and it's less iritating than those 4 razor blades imo.
>straight razor
If you can maintain it properly. You need to take your time shaving, if you have sensitive skin. Take a shower beforehand, get a good brush and soap, wash with cold water afterwards, air dry instead of towel.
Honestly, if you get rashes easily it might be better to use an electric shaver and leave a bit of stubble.
Always in the direction of the hair growing for me. Otherwise you get razor bumps and ingrown hairs.
Which is better? Straight or safety?
safety for your own safety. do not go straight you kill cut yourself 100%
Straighrazors offer a bit more control, but require maintenence and some common sense to use, unless you get one that accepts a half of a disposable razor. Obviously there's less of a chance seriously cutting yourself with a safety razor.
This
I'm not afraid of cuts while learning to use one. I just don't want burns.
Get your local barber to shave for you.
>as if I'm letting someone else touch my face or hair
How about no.
But it could be good advice for that finnish lad, to see how his skin reacts to shaving with a straightazor.
>paying 10€ for a shave
nah
I do, otherwise it doesn't do much at all
This
Works on my faceTM
meme shit for hipsters who shave once a month
Bottom to up. Although for some reason the hair on the right side of my face grows tilted to the right, instead of straight down, so I have to shave there at an angle.
You need to be shaved for your English teacher job?
>t. cucked by gillette
I just buy a bag of th the cheapest powerty brand safety razors, costs something like 2€ and last an entire year if not more. Haven't seen the point in doing anything else.
You're an idiot if you aren't using electric shavers tbqh
ever thought of using spirits to clean your razor?
Electric shavers are alright if you shave every once in a while, but they just don't work if you want to be clean shaven.
I'm military
Use Dorco
On the contrary, first time I tried electric I was blown away from how pre-pubescent it made my face feel
What kind of a shaver did you use?
Its a foil shaver. No idea exactly what type though because my dad gave it to me for my birthday as a teenager and I can't remember that well
I only top owo
you go with the grain, then against the grain, then across the grain
(most retards here don't know know how shave properlly)
I thought the same until my grandma gave me a semi-expensive electric shaver. Literally as good as razors; gives a tight shave.
Plus it has a trimmer attached on the back that instantly cuts long pubic hair off. Just shave down there 2 days ago, and it was so fucking easy.
TL;DR: Buy a more expensive shaver
