Japan is a shithole.
Yeah it's safe if you're a foreign male and the country is relatively clean but that's about it.
Medical care is shit, most jobs will pay shit and less than what you'd make in EU or NA, everyone is a fucking drone afraid of showing their own opinions and just following the norm, most Japanese people are boring as all fuck, cost of life is relatively high, food is mostly shit in the sense of being nutritionally poor as fuck and many things you take for granted are a rarity or only available as expensive imports here, most Japanese women are actually ugly cunts - Yes, there are pretty ones - they most likely don't want gaijin or are already engaged. Even if you get one, cheating is seem as normal in Japan and most Asian women are golddiggers on a level superior to even whyte womyn.
Too many fucking people everywhere, some places smell like shit, the humidity is fucking horrible everywhere, summer is miserable as all fuck, there's metric tons of autistic weebs everywhere, quality of education is mostly shit here.
See, I could go on and on, and I'm not even trying. There's really no reason to move here if you come from a decent Western European country or a decent part of NA. In my case it makes sense because I come from one of the worst shitholes on Earth, but I've lived in some European countries for long time so I can compare to Japan.
Sure Japan is "safer", but how much "safe" do you need anyway?
