How much can we understand of each other?
For me it's:
French, Spanish: can mostly read and understand a bit
Portuguese: can only read a bit
Romanian: indecipherable gibberish

romanian sounds great
t. /ro/ lurker

I can understand French quite easily because I studied it in school, Italian just looks like silly Romanian so I can get it with a bit of effort, and I used to study Catalan, so I can read a bit of that, and hence some Spanish as well.

I speak portuguese

Spanish - sounds like dumbed down portuguese. Like a literal retard missing a chromosome trying to speak portuguese. So i can understand around 20-30% on the latam one and 50%+ on the castilian one if the conditions are optimal

Italian- sounds like a based version of spanish, can understand/read a couple words here and there

French- gibberish for the most part

Romanian- desu i hadnt heard or read it before this post lol. Can read a bit of it, seems more similar to portuguese than italian and french

I speak Spanish and French so no problemo there, for the rest

Italian = can pick up a lot, both text and spoken
Portuguese = can understand a lot of if not most text but is confusing as fuck when spoken
Romanian = barely see/hear it to be honest but it looks and sounds cool

I like them all

>search for romanian songs on youtube
>80% are romanian singing in english

LOL ALL OFF THEM SUCK

What genres are you into?

Shut it fl*mand

Can understand parts of italian, spanish and catalan from text, but that's about it

I was just interested in listening to the language, so generic radio pop stuff

Italian is easier to understand than french. Dont know about Romanian. Spanish is the easiest for obvious reasons

Galician and European Portuguese: I can easily understand almost everything written and spoken.
Spanish: usually understood when written, but spoken dialects range from somewhat understandable (Platine) to hardly decipherable (Chilean).
Italian and Romanian: generally difficult to understand, but generally I manage catch some phrases (more often in Italian). I can't understand a thing when spoken.
French: indecipherable written and spoken. I can only understand some written words.

Thanks
I remember a nice song with a band and a pretty singer, the video is set on an outside swimming pool where people are partying and the girl is flirting. the song is a few years old but I can't find it anymore

I can watch a spanish movie and understand it no problem without the use of subtitles, same cant be said for french italian or romanian

I studied Italian and I only understand Spanish without having to put in the effort. Everything else is a waste of my time

nevermind found it:
