extremely gay and ugly
Don’t knock em till you try em. They’re very comfy and look great with a suit
Nobody in Europe wears them anymore, I think.
They were somewhat fashionable in the 70s and early 80s .
tacky just like negro sneakers
No they don't look great with a suit unless your a literal boomer retard who hasn't paid attention to fashion in 50 years.
Rootin and quite possibly tootin.
I would love to try them. Where to buy them and how much do they cost?
1. Do you live in the deep South
2. Do you take your wife line dancing
Nice boots. I own a couple of boots myself.
One is a black pair with biker sole and western tube and the other is a tan and brown pair of rodeo boots. I am not much into the cowboy stuff because I live in a big city.
I just got new shoes this weekend, got the black ones on Sunday
And yes Americans really do this.
They are extremely common among the "Raggare" subculture here and a lot of metalheads wear them.
I have this pair I use almost daily. They are very comfortable.
I live in Houston
and I went country western dancing about a dozen times in college, but haven't been since then.
There's a bunch of western wear stores in Texas and through most of the deep south. Some of these, like the black cowskin and the tan ostrich-skin ones, are 25+ years old and were given to me by my dad, so I'm not sure how much they are, but the rest are $300-1500.
If you buy them now I recommend ordering from Tecovas. New competitor on the market that's selling boots Lucchese might sell for $1000 at like $2-300. Good quality too
>$300-$1000
Holy they are expensive.
Those boots remind me of this haha
They're still plenty fashionable in white-collar working Houston. Of the like 10 male lawyers in my office, like 6-7 of them wear boots.
They're expensive yeah but they're so well-built and are a lifetime investment. My ostrich skins are 40 years old.
based boots. i have a pair, bought them just for fun a few years back. they are suprisingly comfy and i used them a lot for a while. absolutely lethal on ice and snow after a few beers.
>Raggare
>nords LARPing as 60's americans
Do scandis really do that?
I've never tried american boots but our price range for decent built boots starts at 100USD. Might want to check a "botas vaqueras mexico" webpage before commiting to american ones.
>pic related is the pair I described in
>gator
kys
>Do scandis really do that?
Yep, since the 50's.
Is it Swedes just larping as a Murican for the lolz
Okay this is based
>And yes Americans really do this
In the Northeast only LARPers do
No when there economy was doing shit after WW2 many came over but unlike the midwestern settlers many went back and brought this stuff with them. It's an actual subculture people wouldnt invest the time and money to do this as a joke.
Nice explaination. Also classic American cars are peak kino
>our price range for decent built boots starts at 100USD
as does ours if you're buying from somewhere like Ariat. I just don't have any myself
This. Also, Swedes imported millions of old pre-70's American cars in the 70's, 80's and 90's.
Sometimes over 10 000 cars per day came flowing into Sweden.
Which is why Sweden has the largest collection of classic American cars and parts in the world, only bested by Cuba.
People aren't just larping as Americans, they live their entire life like that.
Raggare is one of the largest sub-cultures in Scandinavia and Sweden is the epicenter of it all.
(which is why we host the worlds largest American car meet every year, Power Big Meet)
How are you supposed to fit them in a suit's trousers?
Yup, you know you are in Sweden on a Friday night when a couple hundred V8 beasts roll into town and all you can hear is rock n roll, rumbling engines and tires being smoked.
I live in a 2500 people town, there's like 800 American cars here kek
But what about the contamination tax? Does Sweden have those?
Sounds good 2bh. Now post the most retarded trend you've seen.
damn nigga atleast buy some AF1's
>contamination tax? Does Sweden have those?
Nope. And cars older than 50 years doesn't even need the yearly inspection that all other cars do.
Ugly designs
Why import them?
People wanted large and reliable cars. Sweden only had Volvo and Saab and other European cars were usually even smaller.
And thanks to Swedes living in America we had people over there looking for cheap cars they could ship over here. It became a huge business. My dad imported 8 cars from America between 1982 and 1992 when I was born. He sold 7 of them with a huge profit and kept the 8th. A 1964 Dodge Polara with a huge 455 big block (650 hp) in it. He still drives it daily.
It makes me think of a gay orgy.
Why wasnt enough cars cheap and reliable in Europe. Were those decades still affected by WW2 and Cold War?
You are gay, Giussepe
I have a pair of boots, I like them.
I went to a leather store in Gallup, NM that had a ton of boots and other leather gear in it.
It was all Hispanics and Natives too, southwestern culture really does blend across the border.
>Were those decades still affected by WW2 and Cold War?
Yep a little bit. And the government was funding car manufacturers to produce smaller cars.
There was no (or at least very few) cars with big engines like the V8 here. Most cars had small, weak 4 cylinder engines. Maybe a 6 cylinder for the more expensive cars.
And people wanted powerful cars. Not a 50 hp family wagon.
I mean what would you want, a slow and boring Volvo 245 wagon? Or a huge, powerful Cadillac with chrome and a giant engine?
A lot of people wanted the latter.
And now they are extremely common here.
Cringe
