Taught 7th grade US hist. last year. Teaching ancient history this year to 6th graders. Never taught ancient history or really worked with 6th graders before. Did sub for a 6th grade teacher once during my prep period and found them constantly trying to one up each other and talk. But a good serious tone and raising my voice a bit gets em acting alright.
