Ones we have here aren't that different in terms of size from Western ones

Mine is 14 square meters. I wouldn't say it's comfy, but that's not a problem for me since I don't care about comfort.

Thats pretty decent actually, same sized apartment in tel aviv would go for 500-700 usd a month probably, maybe even more. Still a pretty shitty way to live, hopefully you move out soon

Lived on 11sqm with shared kitchen+bath. I liked it.

My first apartment was 14sqm with a shared shower in the hallway outside. I had my own little toilet only, no shower or anything.
And a heating plate + microwave for cooking kek.
It was really cheap. I think my rent was around 120Euro/month. I kinda liked it, used to shower at night so I didn't have to run into my neighbors and my apartment had everything else I needed.
