Why didn't the continentals produce a lot of worthwhile rock music? There are good bands here and there, but nothing came close to the UK, and even Ireland's rock output is better than almost all of the mainland.

You never heard Portugals surf rock ?
You simply don't know enough bands. A lot of bands only have regional popularity.
European peninsula starts from Russia
Krautrock was literally a defining genre of the 80s
There's probably a lot of good stuff, but it's hard to find. China had their own rock movement in the 90's even, and I found a really good album through it, but it's also kind of luck. I also know Italy had some really nice prog rock in the 70's.
Sure, that's the main exception.
>but it's hard to find
Well that's not really our problem is it.
Italian prog was literally a defining genre of the 80's

It's official, Scandis are less civilised than Balkaniggers.
You don't like Hanoi Rocks?

If you keep it all to yourself, it will be forgotten.
I like those for example:

We are producing more metal and electro than rock.
It's nice, the riff reminds me of something from Thin Lizzy or ZZ Top I think.
The first one is unavailable, and the second is more metal than rock. I listened to the 2nd and 3rd, and they are both good though.
That's true. I don't think I've heard any French rock before that isn't mixed in heavily with another genre or so, like Magma. It would be nice for more conventional rock though since I listened to an album with a French lead singer with a band that was otherwise American, and it's one of my favorite albums.
When we sing in English it's generally an inferior knock off and when it's in native language it's very hard to break through abroad.
Top 5 Euro Countries in terms of music
1. UK
2. Sweden
3. Norway
4. France
5. Germany
You're a huge metal fan?
This is just an uninformed opinion.
How are you unaware of all the fantastic rock music that was coming out of Germany from the 70s onward?
>worthwile
>rock
I like metal but not really a metalhead. Just from my observations across music generally. I''l list a few great bands from each cunt if you'd like.
Egor Letov
What aside from krautrock are you referring to? I know of Hamburger Schule, it's nice.
Sure, go ahead.
This.
I won't post UK ones because there's allot of them but ass for the rest. Some of them will be obvious ones. Feel free to disagree.
2.Sweden
>Kent, Abba, Opeth
3.Norway
>Motorpsycho a-ha and a fuck ton of Metal and Black Metal
4.France
Serge Gainsbourg, Alcest, Magma
5. Germany
>Amon Düül II, Kraftwerk, Can
Well the German new wave scene was really great in the 70s, after that you’ve got plenty of solid punk bands, and of course you can’t talk about German rock without mentioning Scorpions.
We still have some stuff. You have things like

Note that some of those are sung in english
>>Motorpsycho
They're a really great band.
I've never heard of German New Wave really, nor punk. I suppose a lot of these trends never make it outside of a country's borders since they're not speaking English, unless the sound is unique enough (like krautrock or industrial).
Thanks, I will look through these.
Language limits exposure. Scandis worked that out and started singing in English without sounding like retarded foreigners.
I like rock
Bards are the worst class
By what metric do you measure your list? If you go simply by singer / songwriter you’re probably correct, but in things like producers and orchestral soundtracks we’re way ahead of anybody else (even when the later is only because of the Berliner Symphonie Orchester
