Thread for the discussion of Eurasian civilization. It's based on several formations: Slavic countries, Orthodox countries, ex-Socialist countries of Warsaw Pact and ex-USSR, as well as Turks from Rumelia, the Aegean Coast, Levantine Christians (or just pro-Russians) and Grand Duchy of Finland.
Long live Eurasia! Long live multipolar world! Long live /east/ tradition!

Most of our Orthodox folk are based Rusyns in the east, the rest are just LARPers in the west
Easton Walker
Well, Catholics are Orthodox LARPers anyhow since they are a schismatic group. Better be seen as a LARPer in the eyes of your countrymen rather than the eyes of God.
Once years ago I was waiting at a traffic light to go green and a guy comes with a fucking wolf next to me. Looked cute, but was huge.

I wonder how dogs split off from wolves. Were the more liberal wolves that were less afraid of humans became dogs while the traditionalist wolves refused to be domesticated and remained what they are?

That game is a literal map painting simulator with no brain required. I don't understand how anyone can try to play that game in multiplayer with strangers
Asher Wright
It's just common politeness, not real invitation
Andrew Jones
That's true for all paradox games after the start (except Stellaris, and even then it's mostly due to admin cap and end game crisis).
Caleb Perez
Wolves likely approached humans at first to get food scrps
3 and DH are far better and i try to pretend 4 dosen't exist
This, balts are east and therefore invited. Also /north/ is pretty much dead Never played it with strangers, but its fun when playing multiplayer with friends
Christopher White
Great posters. Thank you so much
Robert Bell
No, the liberals became our toys, and the traditionalists were exterminated
Landon Nelson
You too!
No, Thank you. I could only find them easily on Yandex. How else am I gonna get that pre-reform orthography
CK2 was the last Good PDX game, whatever improvements that EU4 made over 3 were later removed or buried under a ton of DLC.
Hudson Morales
>CK2 requires some parts of your brain as well Eh, only if you have horrible succession, and why would you? Pagans can just conquer half the world in 2-3 generations with their casus bellis, catholics conquer + inherit everything, orthodox takes over byzantine crown and then rapes everything etc. t. 903 hours on ck2, 1061 hours on eu4 (all of them multiplayer, had pirated versions for SP before that)
Carter Mitchell
>were later removed or buried under a ton of DLC This. Everything from Rule Brittania onward ruined the game. Also did anyone play Imperator: Rome for more than 20 minutes?
Jason Perry
They were lazy af with Imperator Rome. Might be worth playing with (pirated) DLC down the line, but it's barebones af atm.
Justin Scott
the Germanic Pagans are so easy, it's a joke

If the Communists had not committed a revolution, then Tsargrad, following the results of the Versailles Peace Treaty, would have become Russian territory. Bloody communists destroyed everything again.

Imo all the pagans are, especially now a days with the warrior lodge bonuses like fucking immortality on the battlefield. The succession is a bit fucky before reforming, but the casus bellis make it so easy to take over your own area (scandinavia with germanics, finland/NW russia as finnic etc.) with the starting character and after that it's just snowballing.
Julian James
I knew Imperator was going to be total ass and stayed away from it, it was only a matter of time before paradox made an empty shell of a game that couldn't even superficially enjoyable from the get go.
> Tsargrad Maybe even Trebizond and Galicia too, given the then Russophilia in the latter at the time
>Bloody communists destroyed everything again. Daily reminder that Lenin was a Russophobe funded by the G*rmans and that Marx and Engels echoed the anti-Russian sentiment that was common among G*erman philosophers at the time.
Elijah Hernandez
I'm mostly annoyed by the holy site ownership requirements for reformation. While for Balts and Fins they are quite close to each other, for Tengri they are so far off that they force you into a particular expansion path. That being said, never even bothered trying to reform Tengri, even though I'd have liked to.
David Nelson
Lenin is a german spy recruited by Ludendorff, you're right.

The amount of horse archers nomads get is ridiculous, raping everything in the skirmish face. Though my strongest playthrough was Byzantine --> Rome, where my personal retinue had over 100k troops and total levy from demesne + vassals was well over a million.
Jacob Jones
I had such high hopes for the game, i tough that it would take the character system from ck2, political system from eu4, economy system from vicky2 and combat system from hoi4 (unit templates that they talked about before it was released). But in the end they just made an empty game with bits and peaces from everywhere. In my first and last playthrough i conquered the entie Italy region in a few years without losing a battle and without ever facing a coalition since AE falls so fast. Then i went after carthage and same thing, it was so underwhelming This, i conquered the entire Byzantium with a 2 province count after only 2 years of preparing an invasion (count haesteinn of retz)

Do you know that Rysins are actually Ancient Russians who were divided from the rest in the very beginning of Slavic existence? Their language (dialect) is more close to Russian than the artificial dialect of so-called "Ukrainians" (the mix of Austro-Rusyns and Russians).

Well, they gambled on their preexisting policy in regards to DLC. And it still holds for the most part. Whether most people are revolted or not, there will always be rich sychopants that buy all their DLCs while most other just pirate them and maybe buy the base game.
